good morning everyone!

I spoke to the PA yesterday and she called in a new Rx for Omeprazole for me, said it did sound like maybe some reflux and some patients do need to be on it a bit longer, and if it did not help they may do a scope...but I took it last night before bed and didn't have any issues so hoping this will fix it!

Had my 3 month appt with the dietitian yesterday and she basically gave me an A+ but she did recommend I eat more carbs?...she said whole grains like oats and included beans in the list.
I do eat beans once in a while but I told her I disagreed with the grains until I am ready for maintenence. She said I could eat up to 100g of carbs/day and I told her I was shooting for closer to 20g lol...I know how my body responds to carbs and the more I eat, the more I want...she agreed that if it works for me she is OK with it.

QOTD: I spend too much money on makeup and clothes/shoes. I am a makeup hoarder and I have a 3 foot chest of drawers filled with it. I have not spent too much on clothes in the last year or so until last weekend when I splurged a bit since I was needing some summer stuff in my current size. I don't want to buy too much right now unless it is stretchy and will last a while. Mostly I probably buy too many clothes for my daughter- they're just so darn cute I can't resist!
I used to also buy a lot of books but they were almost always from used book stores and were usually less than $3. Now I mostly read free ones on my kindle or rent audio books from the library on an app. if there is a book I really want to read then I will break down and buy the kindle version but I have gotten better about it.

Morning: coffee & PP
B: 1/2c cottage cheese with 2 strawberries and a few blueberries
L: tuna packet w/light mayo & parmesan on cucumber slices
S: gouda cheese stick
D: not sure - again, eating at moms when I pick up story

have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!

QOTD: In the past I had an addiction to Josef Originals figurines and nodder figurines and spent way too much money collection them. Now Saralisa says she doesn't want them when I die so I need to sell them on eBay. Now days Saralisa says I spend too much on our local dollar auction, but I can get things for $1 or $2 or a pair of nice jeans for $5, for example. How can I pass up those bargains?

I have a real weakness for cheap thrift clothes too. Swap.com is my real weakness except I can never tell whether things have pockets.

Hi everybody! I haven't posted for awhile...although i've been reading the posts. I got severely depressed (bipolar) and couldn't shake it. I ended up in partial hospitalization for most of April (you go home at night). Good news...I'm feeling better. Still lots of therapy but things are looking up! One good thing a fellow patient introdu ed me to harry potter...and at the age of 68 I'm hooked.

My rny: I had surgery about a year ago...im 5'8" started at about 354 lb. and now weigh 152 lbs. My goal was changed from 190 to 163. So I'm below goal...from size 6x to size 14/16. My diabetes and high cholesterol are gone. I was basically immobile and now can walk about 2 miles per day without getting out of breath and sweaty (even in the winter). I can fit in cars and get in and out...every seat i try is roomy. My life has changed so much. I want to wear a sign that says "ask me about my gastric bypass surgery! No regrets at all. A person said to me..you look so delicate...that was a first.

I'll get into the groove of posting. I want to thank everyone pn thr menu thread...i really couldn't have done it without you.

Nance
