What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 5/22/18 3:29 am
Good morning! It's a good thing I have to start this thread every day, or I might nor have any idea what day it is! I think I am officially loving unemployment :) I am totally relaxed and enjoying doing lots of fun home projects (we ripped out a wall yesterday!). Plus, the weather has been absolutely perfect. I am in heaven.
I haven't given any hiring updates lately because things are still status quo. I am over 75% confident that the job I want is still going to work out, but it's moving slowly. I heard from the hiring manager yesterday that I will likely get an offer at the end of next week. Its so hard to motivate and apply for other things when I am pretty sure this is happening, but I know I shouldn't rest on that working out.
Accountability: Well...? I did not eat literally one thing I planned, but I chose well, nonetheless. No snacking and no carbs. But this whole home alone with a fridge thing is rough.
QOTD: I read an article last week that said house cats have all the same instincts as big lions and tigers and are basically the exact same animal (including "kill instincts"), but they are just smaller so they are manageable. So... if you could choose any big animal from the wild to be shrunk down to cat-size, what would you choose? I think I would go with an elephant. How cute would a tiny elephant be?!
Ahh, MFP is giving me trouble this morning. I can only enter on my phone and I can't screen shot that.
B: coffee with unsweetened almond milk (I think I gave up on the Keto coffee)
S: homemade cheese crisps
L: shredded rotisserie chicken and HB egg
S: protein shake
D: cheeseburger
Exercise: 2 mile run & @ home yoga
Morning! JB I know how frustrating waiting to hear from a job can be! But enjoy the break like you have been.
i planted out 15 basil plants with my tomatoes yesterday and about 30 garlic cloves. I've been holding them in my freezer so I can plant now, and I'll plant another garlic crop in the fall to over-winter. Tonight after work I am making vegan spinach artichoke dip for a work potluck. We have a vegan on our team at work and it's been fun trying to cook vegan friendly! I will also be going to a Star Wars Trivia night at our Alamo Drafthouse, where I will unleash my inner nerd.
qotd: I think I'd like a miniature giraffe!
breakfast: coffee with premier
lunch: I didn't eat my lunch from yesterday, due to someone coming to train with me right before my lunch break and it ended up taking 2.5 hours. By the time she was done it wasn't even worth taking the break since I was of fin 15 minutes. So everything I packed yesterday is still in the fridge at work.
dinner: maybe salmon and some of the broccoli I harvested yesterday ;)
