Good morning! Sorry I've been MIA the last several days. My insomnia has been through the roof lately and when I finally fall asleep it's almost time to get back up lol. The morning keeps getting away from me!

accountability: stress eating like crazy. I feel like my old addict self is just impulse shoveling things into my face. Starting to get really scared and freak out about it. :(

qotd: so much has changed! My knees don't hurt as bad. I'm able to run, which is something I've always wanted to be able to do. My confidence is better (not where I want it to be, but way better than it was), I can wear jeans again lol, I feel way healthier. I could go on and on!

b- coffee and vanilla pp

l- protein water

d- garlic shrimp

s- NO SNACKS!

v- patches

e- jog

have a great day, everyone!!

hello everyone! late posting today and missed yesterday because I am again filling in for a co-worker who is out and they still haven't trained anyone to help out in our department when someone is off...working on it though so I am looking forward to that!

I had my 3 month follow up yesterday and DH had his one week f/u at the same time. My labs came back PERFECT for the first time in like 20 years. I havent ever had terrible labs but my Triglycerides have always been high and my a1C was borderline (metabolic syndrome) and this time it was all great!
vitamin levels were all good but my B12 was a bit too high so I am just dropping that one down to a once a week 5000 mcg. he said he will check them again in 9 months at my 1 year checkup.

QOTD: 5 years ago...DH and I had been married a couple years and focusing everything on having a baby. It was seriously my obsession. I was going to the gym regularly and eating healthy and felt pretty good but still never made it lower than about 265 lbs. I was feeling pretty lonely and dejected because we were going through infertility treatments that were failing. I had to have a laproscopy to remove endometriosis and went through 5 IUI's and several rounds of clomid without success. We did eventually end up going through IVF to get Story early the next year and I would do it over again 1000 times if I had to in order to get the same outcome. I also struggled with PPD after she was born...I had lost all my baby weight in about a month, but then it all came back in full force plus another 20 lbs within the next 2 months.
Since then, we bought a house and made it our home...I'm only 3 months PO and I know the surgery will change my life too...but so far it's just made me hopeful...more hopeful than I have ever been in my life I think, except maybe for when I found out the IVF was successful...of course finding out you're pregnant- that's also when you start worrying about everything LOL.

Good morning,

Im going to try a new support group tonight, it's for food addiction. Maybe it will help with my binge eating disorder. It's getting better with the medication but still a struggle. My life is busy at night lately, every night during the week has something going on. Also thinking to volunteer at this women's pregnancy center where my friend does it working in their warehouse sorting and hanging clothes and other stuff. It's a pro life place which I like. Maybe being busy will help my problem.

Last night, my dinner didn't have carrots but broccoli crunch slaw and macaroni salad. I made chocolate chip banana bread so I ate the leftover chocolate chips and a piece of the banana bread.

Qotd that was a year, 5 years ago. I thought I was in a one on one relationship with my boyfriend. Was taking care a friend from back surgery in my apartment. During that time found out my boyfriend was having an affair with my friend before he even started dating me and was going on under my nose in my own house. My friend got better and went home. Eventually I broke up with him. I started with a cane due to my legs were doing some weird things and my balance is off. They checked me for MS but didn't have it. Had a lot of health issues and taking a lot of medications Had to rely on my friend that lives in my apartment complex for a lot of stuff I couldn't do.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D ham, broccoli crunch slaw and carrots

Have a good day

Morning all! Infusion went well yesterday and I am so happy to be done.

So glad your first day of severance freedom was so great. Believe me, it is VERY easy to get used to. Glad you are making the most of it.

Accountability: I was on Plan yesterday, and only ate 2 of my allotted 4 tater tots. The waitress made fun of me.

QOTD: Five years seems like a lifetime ago. I was MO, had just finished chemo and radiation, I still had both my dad and my brother, and I was in a job that I didn't realize I was so unhappy in.

Five years later I am at a normal BMI, 5 years and counting out from breast cancer, done with that job and happy and healthy. The only dark spot is that I lost my beloved dad and brother.

Today is my weekly girls adventure, and I have no idea where we will eat lunch, so my menu is incomplete.

3 years, 6 months post op:

B: Egg Beaters, bacon and mozzarella omelet

S: Chicken wing

L: TBD

D: 4 oz rib eye, 1/2 artichoke, 1 tbsp canola mayo with lemon

Happy Thursday!

 Height: 5'7".  HW: 299, Program starting weight: 290, SW: 238, CW 138 - 12 pounds under goal!

Morning everyone. It's my last day of work and I'm super excited. My appointments yesterday were interesting to say the least. I started at the ortho for my hand and arm. He agreed to cortisone in my hand but not my elbow. The injection in my hand hurt more than it's ever hurt, and it still is sore this morning. I can't even straighten my hand. I then saw my surgeon. The plan at the moment is to do surgery and fix my hernia while at the same time doing Stretta to resolve my remaining acid issues. I asked him if we could parlay this surgery into a tummy tuck and he actually was excited at the thought. He has plastic surgeons in his practice so he's having me make an appointment for a consultation. I'm going to ask my friend, who is a plastic surgeon, his opinion on the guy and we'll go from there. I have zero insurance coverage for plastics and the LA plastics market is sooooooo expensive, if I can get the OR and the anesthesia covered under insurance for the hernia repair, it would make the whole thing feasible. We shall see.

JBQOTD: Great question. Everything, yet nothing. Five years ago I wasn't even considering surgery at that point. I was a lawyer working at a different firm than I am now, but that about summed up my life. Now, I work, I go to the gym, I go out with friends. I live. It was interesting, yesterday my surgeon looked at me (it was my 4 year post op appt) and said "you're a completely different person from the person who I met 4 years ago." He's right.

My plan:

B: Bacon

L: eggs and cheese

D: ????

S: Latte

E: it's my rest day
