LOL - one-ton pumpkin! I forgot that we also have 6 Brussels sprout plants. I don't know what we will do with all of this produce since we both had rny in December. He said he was going to scale down the garden this year but it seems to have gotten larger! I will be doing a lot of sharing in the neighborhood I guess.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Newbie here... My surgery is the 29th May so I am on the pre-op diet. I am one of those lurkers! I love the meal threads. Good luck on the job JB, but definitely take the time you have to enjoy yourself.

QOTD: Hmmm, 5 years ago I was living in the Far North region, contemplating surgery, trying to start a longarm quilting business, and getting a Tourette's diagnosis + co-morbids for my son. Hectic and busy but awesome!

My allergy to sucralose and aspartame made the diet a bit more challenging especially since NZ relies heavily on Optifast as the pre-surgery diet.

B: PranaOn plant power protein shake

L: Optifast bar (chocolate pleather)

S: Miso soup

D: Optifast bar (more pleather) 2 cups veggies

W/V/M: on track

Exercise: off today, tomorrow is cardio (I have a healing torn Achilles, so need to be careful)

hopefully I haven't totally screwed up this post

Have fun,

I love quilting or rather, piecing, lol. We moved to the lake, our retirement home so now my commute is an hour each way, so I don't have the time I used to have to devote to it. I'm planing on retiring in a couple of years so maybe I can get back into it. I have a garage shelving system holding mini bolts of fabric and just abt every implement know to the quilting kingdom! So I tell myself that is just a stockpile so when I retire, I'll have all I need, lol.

It is a great way to keep busy! Sometime you submit a pic of your studio! I am not much of a piecer, more of a wholecloth girl.
