Thank you! and Advice Welcome
Hello everyone,
I have been a ghost/voyeur on this forum for quite some time, and want to thank you all for all of the information and help you've given each other. This forum has helped me a lot in my decision making.
My paperwork was submitted yesterday for RNY. I am working hard to remain calm and trust the surgeon and the process... but it's scary, nonetheless!
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and looking forward to reading future posts. :)
Good luck! I'd say the overwhelming majority of us in here are very happy with our choice.
It's a nerve wracking and exciting time for sure! We'd love to hear more from you :)

I understand your fear. I have been working a 6 month process (I'm 5 months in) and I am getting scared myself. I know several people friends and family that have had weight loss surgery and the results vary. I am just putting my faith in the surgeon and my determination. I tell myself that the RNY will be successful and I will get healthy.
Welcome!
It is scary, but I think you will find it to be completely worth it. There are good days and bad days. The good days, you feel great and happy. My bad days I question why I did this to myself and I should have just stayed fat. As I get further along, I have less bad days, thank goodness; but you just need to mentally prepare yourself. This is not easy and it takes hard work and dedication. This website is a great outlet and a place to see that you are not alone and you will more than likely find all the answers to most questions you may have.
Best of luck to you on your journey!
