Good Morning! JB, I hope you keep us updated if you find out fabulous news today. I am in a bit of a waiting pattern both at home and work so just staying busy so the time doesn't drag.

Accountability: Aside from popping in a few pecans while I was cooking my burger and prepping my salad-on track.

QOTD: I typically am reading a Danielle Steel book while using the elliptical at lunch. Although I just started reading a book that someone dropped in our little free library we have in front of our house about the Jon-Benet Ramsey case. It seemed interesting so I'll see if I end up finishing it.

Time since surgery: 3 years 9 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Hot buffalo tuna pack, low carb pita, and Carbmaster yogurt

D: Chicken apple burger, spinach salad (Bleu cheese, pecans and Skinnygirl raspberry vinaigrette dressing) and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1192 Protein:118 Carbs:75 Fat:54

Have a great one!

"Killers of the Flower Moon" was a fantastic book, JB!! My book club read that one as well - I loved it!

well today I have to get the rest of my "stuff" in for our trust to be set up. I'm trying to decide between two trust companies who will run our lives after we become incapacitated (if we die before getting to the point, I suppose it won't matter as much since we'll be dead). Ugh....this is awful! I'm glad we're about to wind all this up - what a huge job! And our case is relatively simple compared to some others I've heard about!

QOTD: I tend to drift toward non-fiction, so it's probably good I work in an academic library rather than a public library. When you work in a public library, people ask you for book recommendations all the time. I just don't read a lot of fiction, so I wouldn't be of much help! I did join a literary awards committee several years ago and served on it for four years - mostly to force myself to read fiction! I do like it when I read it, but when left to my own devices, I'll almost always pick up non-fiction.

meeting a friend today for lunch, so I have no idea what I'm having. I'll be safe - but I'll most likely have grilled salmon for dinner, so if I go overboard a little at lunch (because of lack of options - not lack of trying!), I should be able to rescue myself by the end of the day...

2 years 11 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with SF cheesecake pudding mix mixed in, topped with sliced strawberries

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake

L: ??

AS: depends on lunch - maybe nothing - or maybe L&F yogurt

D: grilled salmon and vegetables

ex: Aqua Zumba

G'morning all.

I have no idea what swinging chicken means but I'm swinging them for JB. Just picturing it makes me laugh.

Iyesterday's speech at the WLS seminar went well. I almost got emotional thinking I was in their seats last year. The organizer liked my "speech" enough that said she would put me in rotation and call me again to come back and talk.

The other half of the day went horribly bad. DD was supposed to arrive in San Francisco last night at 8:30 pm. Her flight never left DC. They kept delaying it due to thunder storms. Finally around 3:00 am her time they cancelled her flight. She has spent the night on the airport floor, no hotel rooms no vouchers for meals, nothing. I am so upset. She was supposed to get on a flight at 9:00 am this morning and still delayed. I'm gonna have a good talk with United after she lands. So I was at the airport after my speech thinking I just had to wait a couple of hrs but that wasn't the case. When I realized she is not coming got myself a coffee from starbucks to stay awake on the way home - about 2 hours drive from the airport. Little did I know when I asked for skinny (sugar free syrup and non fat milk) somebody made a mistake and put full sugar syrup in my drink. After about an hr driving I started feeling really sick, sweating, dizzy, had to pull over to throw up (sorry TMI). The last part of the drive is a windy hilly road and I thought it will be the death of me. I didn't want to call DH because he was on the phone with DD and united trying to get her on a flight for today so I thought I gotta brave it. Never again. I got home that I was GREEN. Just passed out on the couch. Never had this kind of reaction to sugar.

Needless to say today my menu will be all liquid. Can't stomach anything.

Here's hoping to see my daughter sometime today. Gotta drive up to SFO again but I won't go until I know she has taken off.

Driving when sick at all is the worst! I am glad you made it home safely though and I hope you get to feeling better quickly! I am quite early out but that sounds like dumping syndrome? Is that right?

Right. I've had a couple of episodes because of my poor choice but this one came out of no where and I guess it surprised me because I didn't know I had sugar. Not a good feeling. Yuck!
