Enjoy your time off between jobs, JB! I suspect it will be brief.
My cat Kai, the one who can see, has become a bit arthritic. I can see it in her stiff gait, and she has taken to asking to be lifted onto high-ish surfaces by sitting in front of them and meowing every 10 seconds or so. My bed is rather high. She will wake me up, meowing plaintively to be picked up. I pat the bed next to me first, hoping she will jump so I can just drop back to sleep, but no such luck. After a minute I sit up and swing my legs onto the ground. You'd think she'd be happy to have roused me, and would allow herself to be lifted, right? Nope. Instead, my sitting up is her cue to saunter just out of reach, slowly wander to the far side of the bed, then leisurely stroll under it until she emerges close to where I am sitting, at which point she allows me to pick her up - if I'm quick enough! If not, she retreats to just under the bed, then repeats the walk to the far side and another leisurely stroll. At which point, if I've given up and have gotten horizontal again, she will start the whole thing over again, plaintively meowing every 10 secinds. What a little brat! If I didn't love her, I'd kill her!
QOTD: An ideal day off for me would involve seeing my kid! Also, I love visiting museums, especially art museums. I have yet to see what Seattle museums have to offer. Though Santa Barbara is an arty, rich town, I wasn't that taken with its museum. But then again I was spoiled by the amazing art museums close to where I grew up: NYC, Boston, and Philadelphia all have magnificent museums. Philadelphia surprised me - it's art museums are spectacular - absolutely world class. And I also really enjoy just spending time with friends, as well as walking either in the city or along the beaches here. If it's raining, a day at the museum is perfect, as is a good book and a cozy chair.
First: tea, tea, and more tea!
Breakfast: tuna salad
Lunch: ham, smoked gouda
Dinner: turkey
Snack: Greek yogurt
I'm still nervous about increasing my calories, as all along until the past couple of weeks staying between 450-600 calories was plenty satisfying! But at right around 11 months I do find myself hungry for a bit more. So now I am keeping it to 650-660 calories, and nervously watch the scale. So far so good, but as I still have 50+ pounds to lose, I don't want to add in more until I reach goal.
Have a beautiful day, one and all!
I can just picture the scene with your cat and it made me LOL.

Heehee, Kai might be related to my Fez, who has some creative and stubborn habits :/
i think you are right to want to keep calories low right now but under 700 is probably still low enough to keep losing!
