Post-op for 11 yes and need to drop some weight
I had RNY in 200. I'm currently at 183. I would like to lose 20 poinds. It seems as if I'm stuck at this weight. I don't understand why I can't get the weight off??? Is it possible to to be prescribed a weight loss medication for a little boost? I've done well following the RNY program. I know I can do what it takes, I just need help getting there.
Are you weighing/measuring every bite and tracking it somewhere like myfitnesspal? Let us know what a typical daily menu looks like for you and maybe we can give you some suggestions on things you can change.

I believe prescription meds start at BMIs over 30 (obesity) or 27 with co-morbidities.
Many work like amphetamines and I think a couple of them are like anti-depressants.
Over the counter stuff is usually caffeine or other stimulants that decrease appetite and make you heart race.
All come with side effects.
Nothing works like good old fashioned diet and exercise.
I'm sure you can find a doc to prescribe a drug; if you think it through though that may not be the best route to take.
You'll lose a quick few pounds but what happens when you stop the medication? Or your body gets used to it and it doesn't work anymore? What if you run out?
If weight loss meds were effective none of us would have needed the surgery.
Can you add some details? How much weight did you lose originally? Is this regain or have you been at this weight for the whole 11 years? Have you been counting calories or otherwise managing your input?
Like Laura said, providing a list of what you ate yesterday is a great way to start. Others may be able to point out areas of concern that we don't see ourselves sometimes.
