:)

When it rains, it pours, so make sure you've got good boots and a slicker. That's a grandpa-ism (one of many). We've had a lot of the senior folks in my family passing in recent years. He always called it the "changing of the guard".

My grandfather always had funny, practical things to say too. It makes me smile when they come to mind. He was a difficult man sometimes but I learned alot from him and appreciate some things now.

I also wanted to say that I am sure that both of them were very proud of you and all that you've accomplished and that is a great memory to carry with you.

It sounds like you gave your grandfather the comfort he needed before passing. Enjoy your memories of him and your friend.

Good morning everyone! It's so beautiful out this morning. Half of my hour long commute is on a crowded freeway, the other half is the back roads through beautiful wineries and farms. I just love that part. I could take the freeway the whole way and shave 10 minutes, but I don't want to give up the peace and beauty.

QOTD - Another super introvert here - Ilove being alone too. I recharge alone, people exhaust me! Rob is the same way so we have great balance. We do a lot of things together - he is just so easy to be with. We both still need our separate down time, me more than him. I love to drive alone - I could never car pool with anyone. I am so thankful to have my own office away from everyone, it's perfect for me! When in a sea of cubicles, I was always stressed. I can feel every emotion everyone is having and I get overwhelmed and anxious...while I do love people, especially my family, I prefer them in small doses.

Accountability - better - no snaking! had a protein bar though - stop that!

I've worked for the last 15+ years in a cube farm and while I've adjusted, loud "neighbors" can make the work experience miserable! I had a neighbor for almost 2 years who said that my small fan on low was too loud and actually took me to the top level administration for making her work environment unbearable.... They finally moved her to another cubicle but I dreaded coming to work each day and having her next to me.

Oh wow! Sorry to hear you had to go through that!! Earbuds were my best friend, it was the only way I was able to stay sane!
