Special K crustless Quiche - Any phases these are good for?

These aren't awful, but they're not great either. If you're running late and have no other good food choices in the freezer/pantry, eating one of these wouldn't be the end of the world.

Once you're on "regular" foods, which takes many people 4 - 6 weeks per surgeon's guidelines, you'll want to look for things with 10+ g protein per 100 calories.

If you want easy-to-grab quiche, it's super easy to make your own! You can mix eggs and whatever you like (meats, veggies, cheese) and bake them in mini muffin tins. (One recipe is here.) I like to mix eggs with jarred salsa, cheddar cheese, and turkey sausage.

You can also do Starbucks-style egg bites in your sous vide machine, pressure cooker, or even on the stove if you get a bit creative. I do them in the sous vide with bacon, spinach, and swiss. Super tasty, and great for mornings when I'm running behind!

Thanks for sharing those alternatives. I'm especially excited to try the sous vide egg bites lookalike!

They're SUPER tasty! I make them a dozen at a time and stick them in the freezer. I nuke one while I get my toddler ready for daycare in the morning :)

You nuke them from frozen? About how long? I've made other crustless egg dishes before but always have an issue getting them to reheat from frozen.

I take the metal lid off the mason jar, then stick the glass jar in the microwave. Two minutes is usually enough time, though I'll add an extra 30 seconds if it's not heated all the way through.

Hey! I know your question has been answered, but I just wanted to say that I have actually had these. I love quiche and thought they would be good. They tasted SOOO salty. So bad that I couldn't even finish the bite I had put in my mouth.
