Fortunately my bone density in both October and April are in the excellent range but in the 6 months between the tests my bone density dropped by several percentage points. With a family history of osteoporosis I want to be proactive.

Morning all! Thanks JB for starting us off despite your crammed morning! Pinyee, I hope you feel better.

It's still the middle of the night here but I woke up and found it hard to fall back asleep. After I post I'll try drifting off again. I've a busy day and I need my Zzzz's!

QOTD: I know I can get fresh eggs here and there are lots of farms. I'm just not sure what they grow or what will be available at the stands yet, as I just moved. I do know that there is fresh-caught salmon and dungeness crab everywhere here when in season, yum! And you can't turn around twice without seeing Blackberry canes here, raspberry too, they grow everywhere, and will be abundant come summer! Lots of blueberries, too. I do miss the unbeatable Jersey tomatoes and blueberries in the farm stands come summer in NJ - wow, were those ever good! I don't miss NJ's summer heat and humidity, though!

First: two big mugs of tea

B: tuna, cheddar

L: turkey

D: beef, maybe some green beans

S: more tuna, or some Greek yogurt

Have fun today, my fellow RnYers!

Posting early as I'm up and dressed but no walk yet. Lots of thunder and lightening so Lily is in her crate covered up. She is terrified of storms from being kept outside with no shelter for 5 years. Hopefully at some point it'll settle down so we can walk. Not many plans today so we coule even walk this afternoon if need be. Just need to do laundry, get some last minute groceries for our trip, and pack clean clothes in. We probably will leave tomorrow after food pantry to head to Indiana or at the latest Friday.. We have a few sights to see before we go to the camp Saturday. Accountability was great with no extra bites taken. QOTD we have a farmers market in two local towns but rarely go. Post op 5 years 8.25 months and weight at 118.8 today. Heres the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1/2 c chicken salad 6 baby carrots D 31/2 oz pork patty 1/2 c green beans S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added jelly. Have a great day full of smart choices!

Poor Lily! Give her kisses and remind her that she has a safe, loving home now. Poor baby!

Poor Lily!! My childhood dog and I were both terrified of storms. He would hide behind a chair and I would "comfort him"... When we got our pups I wanted to try and limit how scared they would be so I always put on a brave face during storms. I would much rather be hiding under the covers. DH loves storms and sits in our sunroom to watch the show.

I had a really long "3 week stall" that lasted 5-6 weeks. The last couple of weeks the scale has gone down at least a pound PER DAY. It's insane--and yes I've been weighing every day against better advice because it excites me right now. If I stall again I'll put it away :P Yesterday at the gym I intended to do 30 mins on the elliptical and ended up doing closer to 50 because I had good music (finally made a "cardio mix" playlist full of upbeat tunes) and just forgot myself. Not even three months ago, doing 15 minutes was like torture. And I still did weights, walked to the grocery next to my gym for a couple items, and came home and did a bit of gardening.

qotd: I'll be able to get fresh produce from my very own backyard soon. My radishes, spinach, kale, and green onions should be ready to start harvesting after next week when I am cleared to eat raw veggies. I also have a friend at work who brings in farm fresh eggs, and there's a great local butcher shop with great prices we go to stock up! I live in a city, but it's in Nebraska, so it's still rural enough that there's fairly good access to fresh food. There is also a farmers market that I love going to just for the walk, and I'll occassionally buy things that I don't grow myself (asparagus, namely)

breakfast: 2 pieces of bacon, Premier with coffee

lunch: leftover chicken (about 3 oz) with enchilada sauce and cheese

dinner: smoked sausage (3 oz) with cooked cabbage and onions
