Good morning :)

I'm not sure where my brain is at but I have an ultrasound this morning (need a full bladder) and I just went to the bathroom twice... Ugh lol.

Other than that I might do a few things outside while it is nice. I want to try growing some morning glories. I saw a pretty hanging basket on Pinterest instead of having them climb. I had some seeds from my last attempt so let's see if they grow :)

QOTD: We do not have any carpeting in our house -- it was one of the reasons we bought it. I have a minor dust mite allergy so limiting carpet and fabrics in the house is great :) Our house was built in the 70s so pretty much the whole thing had parquet flooring. The previous people put laminate down over it in the living room which we plan to replace when we demo our kitchen. The parquet upstairs is too thin to refinish so we will eventually change it too. For now it's all livable :)

Post-op three years, two months.

Breakfast - brain replacement shake

Snack - water, water, water, cheese and almonds

Lunch - pork roast and veg

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - pork roast and maybe sweet potatoes

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

QOTD: we have both- the new house has carpets upstairs, baths have vinyl, the downstairs has tile on the left hand side (2nd kitchen, bath, den) and the living room/kitchen/dining will have hardwoods (laminate). Currently it is just concrete until we re-level the floors with concrete. If I had a choice I would not have carpet period- carpet with pets is a huge nightmare.

yesterday went well with food. I did have a lo carb tortilla as a snack it was 50 cal and put me closer to 20% carb. i've switched to a 40/40/20 macro and it seems to be working for me.

Gym was good- did stretching/ arm weight/20 min elliptical/stretching. scale is making me bonkers. it has to be on level ground to use and apparently floors are not level in this house so can't get consistent data.

Food for today:

other 1/2 of real good pizza

gelatin concoction (from pintrest)

blueberry/vanilla coffee with vanilla PP

Gym is legs tonight- i would rather just go to sleep instead lol-

Good morning. Thank you for all your well wishes yesterday as Nashville finally woke up last night. Go Preds! I'm bummed because I have an awards dinner Thursday night and I'll have to pull a secret monitoring of the game 7. The one advantage of getting hearing aids - my life is now full of music and yes - listening to hockey. All the while still able to talk to people. My mom would have been in aw of what the technology can do now - thanks bluetooth (she was deaf - my needing hearing aids isn't related to her condition)!

Last night was support group (first Monday of the month) and was definitely different than usual. A woman 4 years out was struggling with weight regain. She was so upset that she started crying about a bunch of her struggles - all the while she was sitting there drinking a 200 calorie Starbuck's double shot espresso can (it had 20g of sugar in it). Then I got paid the highest compliment. A newbie pre-surgery was asking about some of her fears and I answered. She seemed dismissive of my comments and I asked why - she actually said - you don't look like you have my problems. The room started laughing and a woman said - just so you know - he lost about what you probably weigh right now. Definitively a bit of a unique session yesterday ;)

Accountability was pretty good. I did eat a handful of TJ Bamba Pops. Those are great. Peanut butter cheeto like things. Only 2 carbs in my serving size - mostly protein and fat (almost the profile of peanut butter). The dogs like them even more. So they ate most of them ;)

QOTD - We have dogs so we have been slowly moving over to a type of Pergo flooring. We like it. Only carpeted bedrooms right now.

B - 2 scrambled with salsa

S - 1 baby bell light

L - the other half of the chicken pub burger and a small salad

S - 5 oz Fage and protein powder

D - 1/2 a hamburger from the weekend and a tiny salad

S - SF popsicle

They are very filling and hard to overeat. I can't eat more than 1/3rd of a bag (which is a 190 calorie service size). I took that size to a movie - where my wife got popcorn. That and a protein bite kept me out of the popcorn bag. I really like them a lot. But I only keep a bag in the house and don't stock up. And my dogs know the second I'm in that bag. So I'll take about 1/3rd the bag and they eat about half of my portion
