Accountability: I went to a church potluck yesterday and over-indulged. Everything was SO yummy! OOPS! Will try to do better today.
QOTD: My nurse practitioner suggested I look into WLS and printed out OH's website and information from OH.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana
L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: Chicken stir fry w/ vegetables

Congrats on the job offer and knowing it's not right for you! I'm sure the perfect one will come along!!
Oh Monday. I usually despise you, but tonight it's Jon Bon Jovi concert-so I'm not that upset. :)
Accountability: Was about 95%. I ate a few granola bars.(2) Seriously. Why am I loving them so much?
Had mucho burrito for supper last night. I have had it before, no issues. I get the kids size burrito with chicken, no rice. Anyhow, Oh my. I ate most of it, came home and it came back to visit. GOOD LORD I was so sick. and boy did I throw up. I'm thinking the sauce may have been bad? Who knows? All I know for sure is that today is light and easy. Shakes and soft foods. I was in such pain last night, and I'm not 100% this morning.
QOTD: I used the doctors office. My doctor had been pushing for years, and then here. When I googled all roads took me to here.
Menu:
Breakfast: Tea
Snack: Protein shake
Lunch: jello, or protein shake. depends how I feel.
Snack: Protein shake if I never had one at lunch
Supper: Greek yogurt if I can stomach it.
No gym tonight. I'm going to the show!
Have a great day everyone!!
Lori
Update: I typed this out and never hit send. Heard from my friend who was at mucho with me. He spent the night in the bathroom. Took today off sick. WHEW. It wasn't just me or dumping. It was something in the food. (He had a mucho sized burrito. I feel for him today.) LOL

Good afternoon,
It was laundry day. Dentist ordered a different antibiotic since the first one didn't help. Went and got that and went to the grocery store to get my tuna. I have to leave in a little bit to go to the dr.
Qotd family had wls but they weren't very successful so when I went to orientation and my insurance covered vsg, I started researching and OH came up in a search engine when I searched for groups. Bought a book.
B egg mcmuffin
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D chicken and cauliflower
Have a good day
Good and bad weekend. Good because our "adopted" son was here from Spain, and it was amazing to see him and catch up on his kids and wife's going ons. Good because I love to cook and have company.
Bad -- since Thursday, its been FSP (froth, spew, pooh). NO changes in diet, calories, content, or grams of anything. Just my body being ridiculous. But was going on a car trip (14 hours one way) and have decided if I have to think about tupperware with a lid and depends, I maybe need to be home! So sending husband off without me -- I'll be home with the dogs and my own (conveniently located) bathroom).
Being ulta careful about eating small, slow....
QOTD: Where did you get most of your pre-op information about WLS? Was it a book you read? No. I went on a religious retreat called "Body, Soul, Spirit", and one of the other participants was a bariatric nurse. My sharing that two out of three were good led to conversation about surgery. THEN the internet. Best decision ever for those with multiple chronic health issues.
B: Premier protein shake w coffee (kind of an all day cup)
1 Canadian baked, 1 slice multigrain bread
3 oz homemade carne asada
Jolly Time 100 microwave popcorn
TBD: probably yogurt
And a nap.

Hey all. Today is a beautiful day and I'm so full of energy which is nice. Though, I wouldn't turn a nap down if it was offered to me. Put the last of my flowers in my bed. I need to find that darn creeping phlox to fill the openings I've left. Apparently it's harder to get than I thought. Going to try a nursery a bit further out, but I'm so pleased with it so far. I'm going to take pictures and post them in general sometime today, or tomorrow.
I'm also a couple days into eating a bit more, seeing an 8 instead of a 7 at the start of my calories is hard to wrap my head around. My surgeon wants me at 1300, I told him honestly I don't think I will get there. I don't want to get there. I know that's his recommendation as a doctor, but he wanted me to eat more since I'll be doing a consultation to have my stomach skin removed, he thinks I have a lot of weight in my skin since it's not deflated and has some fat in there. Which I guess makes a difference.
QOTD: I honestly didn't know a ton about the surgery before having it other than they were going to take part of my stomach. I read a lot here on OH, and did googling on my own to understand the changes. Honestly, I learned a lot more after surgery from OH. Coming here and posting and getting advice and having some of my choices challenged were the best things that could have happened for me.

We just got some creeping phlox at our local Lowe's nursery last weekend. It's so pretty.
Also, just wanted to say welcome to the menu thread! I think you have done a fantastic job with all you learned here and taken to heart and practice.
