What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?

I know what you mean. I'm wearing clothes I've worn for 4 summers now. They all fit the same but I really am starting to get tired of them now. If funds ever permit I'd love to get some new things.

Amazing feeling isn't it? Fitting into long-not worn favorite clothes ... Total NSV!

Good morning,

I got to take a friend to a drs appt around 9 am so that's why I'm up early. No big plans for the weekend.

Love all the animal pictures, makes me miss having one.

Accountability didn't have my apple yesterday otherwise perfect.

Qotd I was able to help my friend pack and move her out of her apartment. I wouldn't been able to do that 3 1/2 years ago.

Not sure what I'm eating today, will be gone all day. Will take a few protein bars with me.

Had coffee already

Good morning :)

Only two things planned for this rainy day -- going out for lunch with my DH and picking up a few items that are on sale at the grocery store. We are currently trying to empty our freezer, which was not going well. I think my nesting behaviour might be stocking up on food as opposed to cleaning or buying baby things. I find this super interesting as someone with lifetime weight struggles and a good reminder that even postop my default is to turn to food. Even if it's healthy food.

QOTD: well, I guess right now mine would be primarily pregnancy based. I can't imagine going through all of this while I was over 300 pounds. Also, I have great blood sugars and blood pressure which I know is so much better for baby. And my new OB (my midwives had to transfer my care after the ulcer diagnosis) is super supportive of ladies who have had WLS. She has noted a few times that I'm doing much better than a lot of other women she has seen who are post-op. She also told me last time that I'm super lucky because my tummy apron is so minimal -- she basically doesn't have a filter, but I kind of love it.

Post-op three years, one month.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - toast and PB

Lunch - tbd with DH

Snack - leftover half burger

Dinner - zucchini lasagna

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

hi all yesterday went well. I did have some whipped cream at dunkin but logged it... so- apparently dunkin sent out these mailers for a free cup- be on the lookout because you get the cup for free and you get .99 iced coffee unlimited through june 30. just need to remember to bring my almond milk/PP to mix with it. i seriously was so so happy for this promo. now- I'm only allowing whipped cream one more time this month and it will be on my birthday i think!! ok- so my jetta AC has gone out and now extended warranty is expired- I'm going to check around but looks like a block in a/c- compressor working fine and no burnt fuses and no leaks. DO NOT want to fork over 1000$ for new compressor.

Met with a trainer at the gym and lo and behold she used to weigh 300 pounds so it was so reassuring to work with her. I may buy a book of sessions with her and have her kick my butt around some. she is a power lifter and competes.

Food for today

running out of easy food in fridge

protein pancakes

coffee

water

egg white patties

not sure on dinner yet but we are supposed to go get the darn car from the place and pay their 100$ fee for diagnostic...

NSV- hmmm this is a hard one since my body image has been in the toilet. I know my body fat has reduced but my scale number has increased with all the weight training so had been very hard on me. DEXA on SUNDAY. I suppose that can be my NSV! actually have a discussion about body fat without being ashamed.

The slight scale jump up happens to ALL of us as we start seriously working out and building forever-calorie-burning metabolism-enhancing muscle because muscle weighs literally three times more than the same volume of fat.

But it LOOKS a LOT better - and you might notice a tightening of your belt and that you look better in your jeans long before the scale moves downwards ( which it will- eventually )

keep at it Sister! Hugs

Good morning menu folks! JB, your kitties are SOOO cute! We have a 3 year old B&W cat that they remind me of.

I've already been up and done my fasting bloodwork for surgery. Now I'm back at my desk and finally getting my first cup of coffee! Today is supposed to be 90 again so I may get out for a long walk at lunch but I'd really like to go for a swim too. Hmmm!

This weekend is the MD Sheep and Wool Festival and I'll be volunteering for a few hours selling t-shirts. It's not supposed to be as hot but is also calling for some rain...boo hiss! These people are hard core though and there will still be lots of people. Oh yeah JB, there will also be lots of cashmere goats and alpacas, along with the sheep.

QOTD: I love being able to move my body smoothly and without getting out of breath, things like walking for miles, running up the stairs and carrying groceries easily. I also really like being able to fit in public bathroom stalls other than just the large handicapped stall! I'm not afraid of getting stuck.

Menu:

Breakfast: turkey sausage wakeup wrap

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, blueberries, cashews

Lunch: chicken breast, baby carrots

Snack: turkey breast, apple, almonds, protein shake

Dinner: shrimp

Exercise: long walk and/or swimming
