Good morning! hope everyone is having a good start to their day.

accountability: 100% on point! Haven't been able to say that in a longggg time lol.

qotd: I don't recall if I've ever got to meet anyone famous face to face, but I did receive a national award in high school for art that a few celebrities spoke at, so I guess that's close enough. I used to do makeup for tv and I did the mayor's makeup at one point in time, I'll call that a "local celebrity" haha

b: syntrax with almond milk and a couple bites of Greek yogurt

l: homemade pulled pork with cilantro, onion, lime and a tiny dollop of sour cream

d: probably more pulled pork. Maybe a little BBQ sauce for this meal

s: Greek l&f

v: patches

e: short jog tonight. Knee is getting cranky again so I'm gonna have to slow my roll again

happy Wednesday, menu crew!

Good morning (almost afternoon),

It's been several months since I've posted and high time I got back into it. 18 months post-op, wavering between 105-110 lbs lost. I've been on a few international trips in the last few months and the carbs are making their way back into my diet. I'm hoping that posting will help keep me accountable.

Thanks!

B: coffee with fairlife milk

S: lo-cal toast with PB

L: salad with HB egg and ranch dressing

S: cottage cheese with peach cup (no sugar added)

D: TBD

Glad to see you back here. The accountability of this post every day is a huge help--at least to me!

Morning all! Happy Thursday!

JB, those poor middle schoolers! I am so lucky to have gone through middle school and high school before the internet. That timing gave me an abiding love for books, and probably ensured my survival. Gossip and mockery were bad enough back then, I shudder to think of how exponentially worse they could be now - kids easily could feel there is no escape. Parents really have to be on the alert, and not complacent.

I was able to get some lilac cuttings yesterday, and my entire living room is perfumed now - I love them so much! Lilacs in general need cooler climes than Santa Barbara (though there is a heat-resistant strain, I only encountered it once in all my time there). Anyway I am so happy to have them!

QOTD: I have met some famous musicians. I went through a phase of dating athletes, so know a couple of them too, but they were from a much earlier part of my life. I know some famous art families, that is, the families of famous painters. One of those families has several living painters who are also famous in their own right, the other family has living painters too, though not yet famous. It's interesting to me that being artistic seems to have a genetic component. I can't think of any famous actors I have actually met, but I saw some around town now and then when I lived in CA.

I only lost 5 pounds last month. Finally the scale budged so as of this morning I have lost just over 150 pounds since my RnY on 6/12/17. Yay! Only 50ish pounds yet to go! I am hopeful that I will accomplish that by the end of the year, perhaps even by my October birthday - we will see! But however long it takes, I'm in!

First: tea, two huge mugfuls!

B: turkey, a tiny bit of light mayo (helps alleviate the dryness)

L: chicken

D: more turkey, and a slice of smoked gouda

Have a beautiful day my friends!

Hi Everyone,

Been busy getting ready for the Mediterranean cruise I am leaving on next week. Actually leaving for Rome on Sunday night. Should be a hoot!! The trials and tribulations of owning a travel agency :)

QOTD: I have met quite a few famous people. Not sure why so many but I travel a lot so bump into people.

I met Bruce Willis in Vegas at the Golden Nugget. (Didnt know it was him but spoke for a while and then realized it)

Julio Inglesias (father not son cause I am an old lady) spent a few minutes with him at dinner in Miami. Kenny G ( in Vegas) nice guy, Christopher Atkins from the Blue Lagoon. ( I did a lot of extra work in movies as a teen) Leslie Ann Warren ( another movie I was in on set for three weeks) Vanna White from Wheel of fortune at a party, the dude from Dance Fever (Denny Terrio) who was also on Dancing with the stars, Rutger Hauer who was in Blade Runner and the Hitcher ( met him in a restaurant in Amsterdam), Joan Lunden who interviewed me when I was 9 years old at a shopping center asking me if I wanted to be Ms America, Rick Springfield ( jesses girl one of my favorite songs) at a shopping mall, a bunch of Chippendales ( I dated one a few times... really). There are probably more but I can't remember...!

Food for the day:

Lots of coffee

Protein bar ( I was in a hurry)

cheese stick

1/2 piece of low carb bread with 1/2 ounce cheese and 1/4 ounce salami ( wasnt hungry and my husband had several bites on his plate

Dinner: Unsure but meat and veggies
