What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

Oh, everyone's posts are reminding me of other people I met! Paul Pierce from the Celtics was sleeping with one of my coworkers. I will not bother calling it a relationship--it was just sex. But anyway, she and a few of us from work went to the game and then got to meet some players. They are HUGE. I mean, I knew that, but damn! Up close, it is insane.
Quick post as short on time since we started late on our walk due to heavy rain. We did get 4.01 miles in though and will do another mile after supper. Accountability sucked as I got frustrated and ate my feelings to the tune of a piece of naan bread and 2 butter cookies. The cookies made me feel miserable so I stopped, took a deep breath, threw away the 2 items as they've been here for weeks and no one's touched them except me. Then I picked up my knitting needles and relaxed. Post op 5 years 8 months and weight at 118.4 today. Heres the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1/2 c crab salad 3 baby carrotsD 31/2 oz strip steak 1/2 c asian slaw mix S 4 T hummus with 6 baby carrots. Have a great day full of good choices everyone! I'll come back to read later. Now coffee!
Good Morning! Well Em was off to Disneyland bright and early this morning. I hope she has a great time and can't wait to hear all about it when she gets home.
Accountability: Yesterday I ate ALL THE THINGS. I was a bottomless pit and I don't know why. Hoping today is better.
QOTD: When I was about 8 years old, Willie Nelson was staying at a hotel at the end of our block and was riding his bike around our neighborhood. And, to me he is famous.....meeting Curtis Stone in January.

ETA: I totally forgot about Alan Autry (Bubba from "In the heat of the night") lives locally so I have seen him often (grocery store, Starbucks, the gym, and other places). He was our mayor in 2000 as well.
Good morning. Teeth are healing nicely - only 3 to 4 more months before I'm back to full chewing. Dear god ;) I've started taking Power Core at my fitness center twice a week, so that's been new and fun. I'm spinning 2 to 3 times a week, power core twice and swimming 2 or 3 times depending on what's going on. With my teeth I've just started back on veg, so that's great. I had my first salad yesterday and no issues. It's really hard to eat popcorn and pretzels, etc, so that's completely out of the diet for a long time. The higher dairy has really slowed things down, but I'm starting to lose again - though much more slowly. I'm okay with that. I was able to eat some pork roast last night, but it was fall apart tender. But it was gooooood.
QOTD - I had a brush with greatness once - during filming of Straight Talk I turned the corner on Michigan Ave and crashed into James Woods. And twice (each end of a flight to and from Chicago to Philly) my wife and I boarded the plane behind Ron Popeil (pocket fisherman guy). He accused me of following him when he saw us the second time. I told him, if I was following him I would have picked better seats - he was in first class. Nothing too crazy like my college roommate who sat at an airport talking baseball with a long haired bearded man in a Dodgers hat for two hours. My roommate was a huge LA fan. The plane started to board and the man boarded with first class. Another guy walked up to my roommate and asked how it was to talk to Michael Douglas for two hours. My roommate said - huh? He said he never recognized him. He just had a good time talking baseball.
B - 3 scrambled
S - 1/2 quest bar made into eggface cookies (tricky to eat with missing teeth)
L - small salad; 1/2 cup eggface ricotta bake; 2.5 oz turkey
S - 5 oz Fage plain 0% fat yogurt
D - small salad; 3 oz of pork roast
S - SF popsicles
Exercise - 50 min Spinning class
HW 510 / SW 424/ GW 175 (stretch goal to get 10 under) / CW 160 (I'm near the charts ideal weight - wonder if I can stay here)

Whoa, if I turned a corner and crashed into James Woods, I would RUN and then probably work on changing my identity...hahaha.
Good morning everyone!
It's a grey and rainy morning here but at least it's warm!
finally looking like Spring anyway, so I really have no complaints.
DH's surgery is planned for Monday and not only is he moody from the liquid diet, but he has been super stressed about getting all his clearance stuff completed...mainly the Sleep study portion, as the facility they referred him to has been nothing short of completely disorganized. He spent a month leaving messages to get an appointment and nobody called back- then he got a letter stating they were trying to reach him??--needless to say he finally got the patient advocate at the surgeon's office involved and they called him back the same day (eye roll)...then they said the insurance wouldn't cover the in clinic study til he did the home study...well the facility is only open from 7pm to 7am so he had to leave work early (he works noon to midnight) to pick it up...then it didn't record more than 30 mins the first night and he had to go back and do it again--this was 2 weeks ago so we are already talking about crunch time--then they said it takes 10 days for the results!...remind you now he is scheduled for surgery THIS Monday- and they still wanted him to do the clinic study after this!- the pulmonologist wasn't going to clear him til he had it done and got his Cpap machine and had it recording that he was using it every night--so it's been a disaster. the pulmonology nurse practitioner finally got involved and sent the order in for the Cpap without the sleep study being done since they knew he had sleep apnea after the home study...and then the facility kept telling him the insurance was processing the authorization request...for like 3 days, and that they couldnt do anything.
So finally, I called the insurance yesterday to find out what was taking so long. they said that the facility submitted the request by paper and never even called them to say it was urgent, and not only that, but it DIDN'T EVEN NEED authorization and they could've just given it to him the day it was ordered if they had CALLED. I am super disappointed in this sleep study place...they are the worst organization to deal with. If he has to do a follow up afterwards, I am going to make sure he requests to be referred to a different facility...at least the pulmonologist said as long as he has the Cpap before he gets to the hospital and knows how to use it, they will make sure he is cleared for the surgery. He is going this morning to pick it up. whew!
anyway, sorry that was so long but I needed to vent! rant over.
Our regular babysitter's 2 year old son is having adenoid/tonsil surgery today so Story is going to my parents' house. My mom is going to help us out for a few weeks after DH's surgery too...It's nice because they live pretty close to my job (I commute about 40 mins from home) but it is going to be rough waking up early and getting her ready in the morning to bring her over there before work...usually DH is with her in the mornings and drops her at the sitter since works in later. we'll have a lot of adjustments to make for a few weeks but a month from now, I am hoping we will all be adjusting to our new normal!
QOTD: i dont think ive ever met anyone really famous but i've had the chance to meet/talk to the singers of 2 of my favorite musical groups, Faun Fables, and Sleepy time gorilla museum (yes weird name i know)...lesser known bands but I have seen them many times, and I am kind of enamored with the lead singer Nils who is AMAZING and super duper nice in person! and his wife, Dawn (singer in faun fables) has the most gorgeous voice and is also super nice!
B: coffee & Caramel PP
L: 1/2 C cottage cheese & 3 strawberries
S: 2 turkey meat sticks and 1 oz cheddar cheese
D: not sure yet, probably eat something @ my parents' house when i go pick up Story.-the meat part of whatever my mom makes
happy Thursday!

Good morning,
It?s a gloomy day so it doesn?t help my mood.
It just popped up on my news feed that a black bear was spotted on the west side of the city I live in. Must be hungry to come into a city.
Accountability had salad instead of my apple at lunch. Dinner was pizza and a few bread bites. Later I had the last piece of my birthday cake.
Qotd I haven't met anyone famous
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D cheeseburger no bun and carrots
Have a good day
