What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

Oh JB, that is horrible! I am so happy I got to be a stupid teenager/went through my 20s long before the internet; we had to do a lot of clean up behind my oldest nephew in his early 20s because kids just don't understand how fast and far things can travel on line; it seems the younger kids have internalized that as so far/so good with them. Those poor kids! Middle school was hard enough in the bad old days, I can't imagine it now!!
Accountability was good - ended up having about 3/4 a small edamame at Pei Wei with my book club girls and my total calories, protein and carbs were all in range. Everyone offered me bites of their dishes because "that's all you're having" but when I explained that I can only eat small portions right now and "hey, at least ordering off the apps/kids menu makes me a cheap date" they moved on!
QOTD - I've never run into a famous person really but I was on Jeopardy a few years ago and I met Alex Trebek. He's not the friendliest.
Today I start 4 weeks straight of travel so I'm feeling a little anxious but I'm feeling well equipped for it...and travel is such a big part of my life, it's time to down to my new "normal". Today I'm headed up to deadwood for a good friends bachelorette, should be a fun weekend!
Breakfast: Coffee + PP
S: Coffee + PP
L: 3 oz roast beef + 1 oz pepperoncini
D: Premier
Totals 479 calories, 78 protein and 12 carbs
Happy Thursday all!

Happy Travels!
I realize you said you are traveling and that may be why but even for early out you don't have much real food on your menu.
In the beginning liquids are easier but it's important to get used to food.

Yes, you are right!
I am supposed to be moving from one real food meal to two to three food/no more than one protein shake a day; I have not done very good at it this week though.
Part of it is PP is so easy for traveling but I've also been VERY leery of trying something new when I'm away from the house so it or one of the other protein powders becomes an easy way to stay on track. I'm going to have to get out of my comfort zone on this very quickly now.

Yes, I would say it took me 6 months to be brave enough to try new foods out of the safety of my house!

I thank god every day that social media was not in my life as a kid. We didn't even have call waiting...lol!
Mornin' All!
the morning at the attorney's office went well yesterday; I'm feeling much better about our future right now. I've been a bit freaked out about all this estate stuff since we have no kids, but he's worked with childless people before and had some good suggestions. Last night I talked to an old friend of mine in another state who's also an estate attorney, and she confirmed everything he said - which made me feel even better. Whew.
eating has been fine the last few days, but my weight isn't budging. Ugh. I'll give it a couple more days and just see. If it doesn't start heading down by the end of the weekend, I'll drop my calories again. Lifelong challenge...
QOTD: not that I know of - or at least, no one I paid to see and/or knew ahead of time was going to be somewhere. But then, I doubt I'd recognize most famous people. I'm not that great with faces, plus if I wasn't expecting them somewhere, it just wouldn't dawn on me who they were.
Our end-of-the-semester student assistant pizza party is today, so I need to be very careful...
2 years 11 months out today!
B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade cranberry/cherry sauce
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax chocolate latte shake
L: toppings scraped off two pieces of pizza
AS: L&F yogurt or a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie
D: tuna salad
ex: 30 minutes on the cross-trainer, maybe yoga tonight
Sounds like me and my calories. I think that my pre-WLS metabolism has returned. Thank goodness for the sleeve making me less hungry when I do drop my calories (and for OH in teaching me what to eat). I've been hovering at the same weight for several days with my calories really low. I know it will budge eventually but geez!

Good morning all! Today is my pre-op appointment with the PS. Today I pay and get all the details.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day outside. I went for a 4.5 mile walk at lunch and came back to find that my pale skin was now pink! Not bad, but I certainly got some sun! I also got in some laps and Aqua Zumba last evening. I really like the water and will miss it in a few weeks...AGAIN!
JB, I am sorry that you have to deal with that stuff. Kids just don't always understand the effects of what they do.
Menu:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, ham
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, almonds
Lunch: fish, salad
Snack: I'll be drive so probably string cheese and an apple
Dinner: Up in the air depending how long it takes to get back from the PS
Exercise: 3+ mile walk before it hits 90
