I am traveling this week and had a couple of fabulous NSVs..

  1. No seatbelt extender needed on the plane. Yeah!!!! I was dancing in my seat!!
  2. I had no problems rushing between planes. Usually I would be exhausted or my feet would hurt, but this time I was power walking in the airport and felt great.
  3. I am not a couch potato. Usually I would go out of the hotel room to eat and to go to work but other wise I would be in my room watching TV. This trip I am down in the fitness center doing 6 miles on the bike in the morning before work and another 6 miles after we get back from dinner. Exercise is not one of my favorite things, but it is becoming part of my daily routine.
  4. I am becoming a champ at being a very picky when I order in restaurants. I asked, at an expensive restaurant last night, for them to leave the mushroom risotto off my plate. I ate about 3 ounces of the halibut and was done. While the dessert that my friend got looked great (warm brownie with a fresh made ice cream on top) I did not have a single bite. I also resisted the garlic bread that my group ordered as an appetizer. Can you believe that I am traveling with 3 other people that all had WLS (2 RNYs and 1 VSG)?

I may not be losing the pounds as fast as I would like, but I am changing the behaviors that caused the problems in the first place. It may take me longer to get to my goal but I am getting there!!

Sounds like you're doing awesome. Changing behavior is the key. This is a very long marathon; not a sprint.
