How long was it from your first appointment with surgeon until your actual surgery date?

My first appointment was in February and my surgery was in May, so about 3 months.

I had my program orientation early August and completed the hospital program by mid October; my insurance required a 6 month supervision so I ended up having the surgery in Feb. Without the insurance requirement, they wouldn't have cleared me through for surgery late October/early November.

my first consult was early November last year and my surgery was Feb 12th this year, so about 3 months, but I wanted to wait til after the new year to apply to the new deductible...my insurance did require a 6 month supervised diet but said that any documented visits within the last 5 years with any provider would count and they just had to fill out a form and sign off on the dates and programs I was involved in at the time.
i had already completed 5 of them from previously trying different weight loss drugs, and just needed one more visit documented.

I basically completed all of my pre-op visits in early January, including an EGD, Dietician consult, Psych eval, group counseling session, and pre-op testing, labs, clearance from my PCP, etc. I wanted to get it going ASAP. i had all my appointments scheduled starting Jan 2nd as soon as I finished my November consult LOL.
then they submitted to my insurance and got approval in about a week, so they scheduled me for 3 weeks after that so I could start my liquid diet.
