Certain smells

Do certain smells of food make anyone so nauseous, foods they use to love?

Yes, the smell of overly sweet things, donuts, cinnamon rolls and things like that bothered me. I still really don't like the smell of donuts.

The smell of deep frying oil rolls my stomach now

10 years out and some smells make me gag.

When I buy donuts for the office - I have to wrap it in a bag, and place in the back of my SUV. Or drive with my head almost outside a window.

My team used to put them on a little desk/table in front of my desk... I am glad I am not alone.

I'm glad I'm not alone my nutrientist made me sound like I was crazy!

I also remember having what I referred to as "prego nose"(I was very sensitive to odors during my pregnancy)after surgery for a little bit. I attributed it to the hormone changes that my body was experiencing.

Yeah it's really weird how your senses are heightened as if it were pregnancy?

One of my friends was prego at the same time as I was going through my first few months post op... We compared what made us "lose the ****".

One of my issues were "slimy" things. I.e hard boiled eggs. Trying to peel the egg - touching the smooth wet surface of the HB egg egde me dry heave. She also could not handle HB eggs or even looking at raw egg white. Ugh.

Early on, yes. Now- very rarely.
