Hi All, I'm allergic to dairy and looking for some good non-milk based protein powder options. Any of your favorites and have you tried in coffee?

Thank you!

Vega makes a vegan protein mix that is okay. Whatever you do though, don't try the pea protein mixes. They are beany and disgusting!

I don't know how helpful this is but maybe it will save you a bad experience -- the true nutrition pea protein is quite possibly the worst tasting thing I've put in my mouth in 45 years! I have heard that there is good tasting pea protein but that one taste scared me off. They did seem to have a number of non-dairy protein powders that you could custom flavor so that may be a good place for you to look.

You may want to try going to GNC to look. They have lots of options and some trial size packages. I also buy alot of my vitamins online at LuckyVitamin.com and they stock a variety of non-dairy protein options.

You have good luck with LuckyVitamin? I won't touch them ever again. They shorted my order all 3 times I used them and then took about 6 weeks to rectify it each time. I thought wow this is weird I ordered 56 various quest bars and got 55... and then I ordered 24 boxes of tea and got 23 and then I ordered another 24 boxes of tea a few months later and again got 23. This can't be an accident, so I stopped using them.

Honestly, I've been using them at least monthly for a year and a half and only been happy with them. My only complaint is that they don't carry some formulations of vitamins that I like. Not sure about the difference.

I also used them and had no problem with them in the last 10 years.

But I think they have a few centers now and it may depend where you are.

There are egg-based ones and beef-based ones. Jay Robb does an egg powder and there's a liquid called Muscle Egg. I've used the liquid product and it's very good. Not like drinking egg whites at all. Carnivor is the beef-based one. It comes in a powder in flavors like chocolate and fruit punch. I've used the chocolate. I've never found the vegan ones to be very good with the exception of the Vega ready to drink, but those are super expensive.

i would try gnc. if you don't like the product they will take it back no issue. even if you have used 1/2 of it.

are you lactose intolerant? I was before surgery but can tolerate the whey just fine.

Hi and thank you. I developed an actual allergy to all milk products that has worsened over the past 10 years. I wi**** was lactose intolerance, but it's an actual allergy with hives and skin reactions. Trust me, for just lactose issues, I wouldn't give up yogurt and cheese :)
