Good morning, everyone! Sorry I've been absent for so long. It's been a real struggle lately. I'm finally pulling myself out of the hole though. Yesterday we had a huge wind storm and I came home from work and therapy to the giant tree in our front yard knocked over and lying on our roof. What timing?! LOL! At least nobody got hurt, probably scared the heck out of the dogs and cat though!

qotd: I don't think I've been bit by anything significant. I did get a long-lasting and painful mysterious bug bite while in California this January though. Other than that, just a bunch of giant mosquito bites every summer.

G'morning all.

We might get some rain here which makes me very happy

QOTD: stung by bees. My brother got stung by a group of them to the point we had to take him to hospital. He pulled up an old blanket from the deck of our summer home...lo and behold they had made a nest there. They all attacked him. We saw him running down the stair****ting at his head. My dad knew right away what was going on and pushed him in the shower and turned on the water. He got some sort of shot at the hospital. The rest of the summer we were very weary of bees.

Morning!! Well, Afternoon by the time I hit post!! OOPS

Accountability--95%. Never ate anything bad, but I did have too much steak. Oh well!!

Today however? already blown it. ARGH!! It's admin week and the treats are flowing! I'm not an admin, but they are sharing all the treats. SOB!!

QOTD: I've been bit by bugs, and a couple of people. LOL True!! I work in security so when dealing with drunks they tend to hit/bite/whatever they can. Only had to go to the hospital twice as they broke through the skin. Which reminds me, bit by my cousins dog-hated that ******* and he hated me.

Menu:

Breakfast: Tea with restorlax, and a Kashi Granola bar

Snack: Greek yogurt with flax and holy crap cereal, 3 timbits

Lunch: 4ox chicken over 1 0z of broccoli slaw with sesame dressing

Snack: NOTHING. I need to stop eating. BUT if desperate, jello pudding cup with protein powder

Supper: Steak

Going out of my comfort zone tonight and meeting a new bunch of people. they are going for wings, but I'll just stick to water. I'll be so nervous eating won't be good anyway. and I haven't really tested out the drinking one drink and then being able to drive. SO water it is!! :)

I'm planning to pop over to the gym for 45mins on the treadmill before I go out. I got new sneakers yesterday by accident. YES, you can shop by accident!! LOL The guy made me walk, and it took forever but these are the best feeling sneakers I've had yet. LOVE them. last night I was running and had NO shin splints. This is a huge deal for me!! So YAY!!

Hope Everyone has a Great day!!

Getting good/proper running shoes was life changing for me. They are an investment in my health.

For me, the right shoes and good socks (I had no idea the difference having the right socks too makes-especially for any distance running) are necessary now.

Hi from Ottawa,

Like reading your posts. My first appointment with a nurse was yesterday, and pre-surgical class is on June 5. I am excited. I am very nervous about knowing what to eat and having a proper eating schedule. Your posts will be my go-to! ?

Good Afternoon,

It's rainy and cloudy here too, but it's alright for me! It's finals week and I would be really tempted to go outside if it was nice, now I have no excuse not to study.

Accountability: I heard back from my surgeon, she said so long as I follow the diet starting now (or last Monday as it may be) I should be good. So happy on that point. May 3rd is still the date!

QOTD: Yes! I was bit by our Great Dane when I was 11. She was in heat and really wanted out and I was in her way lol. She took a good chunk out of me too, but there's not even a scar anymore. I'm going to try and upload a pic if I can, I loved that dog so much.

ps - That's my mom in the picture
