What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers
Oh we can definitely throw up since surgery. Early on, whenever I ate some meat that was too dry (like ground turkey) I would throw up. It would start as the foamies (that nasty foamy stuff coming up the throat) and I would make myself throw it up to stop having that horrible feeling. I have found 2 things that make me projectile vomit like what you describe - rice and falafel. Other things, even at 4.5 years out, can make me throw up if I eat too fast or it's too dry or my pouch is just not feeling it. It's not that often, but we can definitely still throw up after RNY.
ETA: I am sorry that happened to you, however!
Thanks!!
Good to know that nothing is broken. No foamies this time. Well, if there was? I didn't have time to register them or react. All I felt was off in my stomach. 3 years out for me, and this is a first. I felt like a child!! LOL But at least it was at home and just my own stuff to clean!!

G'morning menu peeps!
I see everybody is doing relatively well and had a good weekend.
I NEED A KICK IN THE BUTT....I acted like I didn't have surgery almost 10 months ago. I didn't eat a lot but I ate stuff that I hadn't touched since surgery. I'm getting too ****y for my own good. I'll post about this separately. Gotta get back to basics and maybe do a CAMAW on my own.
QOTD: Far East ... China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Taiwan, Brunei, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. And if money is not a problem why just one month? I need more time to see them all.
B: protein shake
L: pulled pork
S: cheese
D: chicken fajitas (found them at Trader Joe's...so yum) but will skip the veggies.
Have a good Monday.

I'm back! The last two weeks at our worksite near Munroe Louisiana we were without internet as lightning struck their tower and destroyed all their internet. I did great weightwise during our nearly 2 months gone with my weight today down a bit from when we left at 118 even. And that's with far more eating out at regional restaurants than I'm used to though. Portion control was hard but I was careful and hung in there. One of the other workers,an older gentleman from Minnesota had had gastric bypass too but gained back all his weight plus some. His wife thanked me when we left for being such a good example to him of what he needs to do to get the weight off and keep it off. Lily and I walked at least 4 miles every day after I had worked from 8 til 4. Work at the last camp involved weeding flowerbeds, planting new plants, pruning blueberry trees, helping make commercially sold peach salsa, sanding and painting furniture, repotting ferns and palms, planting monkey grass, grooming and leading horses for the theraputic equine program, scraping and then painting an ornate iron fence, powerwashing signs and painting speed bumps bright yellow. I got to eat lots of yummy seafood and did the zipline the next to last day we were there. I climbed up the 35 foot pole using the footholds with no problem and loved it. I nevrr ever would have done that before. What was shocking was how skinny I looked in the pictures. I guess even after 5 years at this weight I still see myself as bigger than I am. Well it's good to be back but I have lots to do so best shut up. Heres todays food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peannut butter L 4 oz deli ham and cheese 3 baby carrots D 31/2 oz ribeye grilled 1/2 c carrots and mushrooms S 5 oz cottage cheese 1 T no sugar added strawberry jam. QOTD the Pacific Northwest. Lily and I got our 4 miles in already in the rain.
Great to see you back here and I'm so glad you had a good trip. What an experience!
