Morning all!
Beautiful day here! Jammed with work but I need to be able to somehow carve out enough time to go for a good long walk in the sunshine!
QOTD: 30-some years ago, when I was shopping my illustration portfolio around, I met with a woman at one of the big publishing houses. I am not sure why, but I am telling you, she took one look at me and hated me on the spot: I could feel it, a sullen burn of poison inside of her. Anyway, she couldn't keep herself from belittling my work in the slyest of ways. When we were done, I commented on an illustration she had taped to her door; it was very charming. "Yes, that's by a young man named (I have no memory of his name). I think he's very talented. (the obvious subtext: "and you certainly aren't"). You can find your way out, can't you?" I went home and went straight to bed!
I'm down almost a pound today after a week of treading water on the scale...I'll take it!
First: Two big mugs of tea!
B: ham and smoked gouda
L: An egg
D: Turkey
Snack: Greek yogurt
Here is a photo of my two Siamese (whose eyes are actually blue) in one of a pair of brown velvet club chairs I have. These chairs are very old - they were old when I was little - they must be over 100 years old. Beautifully made. My brother and I used to push them together and sit on them, pretending we were in a boat on the high seas.
Wishing everyone a joyful day!
