Good morning,

I will be moving my friends stuff to storage on Saturday then she will be staying a few weeks. Today I have to take a friend to get a MRI then we're going to get haircuts. Then I'm going to the friend that's moving to take her places and help her. Then we're going to a support group tonight. Sunday will be church and rest up.

I had a bad eating day.

Qotd the last one I tried for 2 years ago, she finally came to her office but her mind was preoccupied about what she needed to do and all she did was told me about the job and if it was something I like. I asked her a few questions about the job before i accepted. She told me how to fill the paperwork online, after I did that, I never heard from them. I tried calling her but she wasn't available. I figured it wasn't a place I wanted to work at.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

The rest of the day is unknown

My picture is the lamps my grandmother gave me when I was a kid. I helped her change the electric cord on them. They're precious to me. I only show one of them but i have a pair of them.

Good morning :)

Not too much planned for today. I might meet DH for lunch depending on how the morning goes. Then I will pick up a few things for the weekend. I had a nice day yesterday with my grandma. Is there ever a not busy time to go to Costco?? Lol.

QOTD: I haven't had any super horrible interviews yet. I had one where the current employee had been there for a long time and it would be a short contract for me. The expectations were that I could jump right in like this person who had been there for so long. I thought that was a bit unreasonable as all jobs have some learning curve.

Photo: this cabinet belonged to my great-aunt who passed away 1.5 years ago. I was very close with her - she was a second mom to me growing up. I used to stay overnight at her house a lot and she taught me how to paint and crochet. I fell in love with this cabinet when I found out what it was designed for. It is made for holding the scrolls for a player piano. I also have an antique piano but they aren't a set. 90% of the cabinet contents also belonged to my aunt :)

Post-op three years, one month.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - leftover chicken

Lunch - tbd

Snack - PB sandwich

Dinner - leftover meatloaf and soup

Snack - fake cheesecake

All water and vits.

Good Morning! It's Fri-Yay! For the weekend we might try and organize a shelving unit thing that is in the garage-at least look through some stuff and toss/donate a few things. We also talked about taking a drive through Sequoia National Park.

Daisy, your rocking chair is gorgeous! I totally failed on taking a pic for this week of something old in our house- sorry.

Accountability: On plan

QOTD: A few years ago a "head hunter" had reached out and I met with him. He was trying to get to move to one of our competitors. I did not realize his intent until midway through the meeting. After, when he reached back out to me I let him know I was not interested.

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

Love the rocking chair and the history behind it, Daisy!

My first old thing is my grandmother's diamond ring. My grandfather bought her a smaller diamond when they first got married and later when he had more money he bought her this ring. This is the ring I always remember her wearing. Then she gave it to my mother and my mother wore it for many years. I inherited it a few years ago when my mother died. I will pass it on down to Saralisa when I die.

My second "old" thing is our pet pigeon, Pigie. We found him nearly dead on the sidewalk on a very hot July day over 20 years ago! We took him to the vet who said he had nerve damage which rendered one wing and one foot useless. He said the nerves could regenerate, but that the pigeon was so starved and dehydrated he didn't give him much hope. We took him home and he did recover the use of his wing and foot. Since he was a wild bird we didn't name him, so as not to get attached. We tried to let him go, but he kept flying back onto my shoulder and finally flew back to the front door and beat his wings against it. We decided he wanted to stay with us and he has been our beloved pet ever since. He coo coos to us, plays with toys, interacts with us, loves to be held and petted and is a total joy!

He recently got his foot caught and it cut off the circulation and he may lose the foot. This is a picture I took yesterday trying to show his foot. The injured foot is gray, not pink like it's supposed to be and the toes are starting to stiffen. I've been researching one-legged birds on the internet and it's possible he could still live without his foot. I appreciate your prayers for him.

QOTD: I don't remember any bad job interviews.

I think that is SO COOL about the pigeon!! Not that he is injured, but that he adopted you.

Your little Pigie is beautiful! I love the iridescent around his neck, and what a sweet creature he is! I pray that he will be ok, no matter what. Surely no pigeon ever had a more comfortable, well-cared-for life!

I hope Pigie does okay either with his foot improving or managing without it. I never heard of anyone having a pet pigeon - he must be drawn to your sweet, kind nature.
