What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning! Great ride in (but cold). I hear that's changing soon though and I can't wait to feel warm again on that commute.
Menu: Bar and a coffee (the usual for the weekdays). MS: 1/2 cup ff greek with 1/4 cup strawberries mixed with 2 oz of edge protein cereal. same for AS. Lunch is a bowl of beef/barley soup from last night's supper. Supper is unknown but likely soup again. So good and jam packed full of good stuff.
QOTD: I feel like I'm old school in this regard. I like to pick up the phone, particularly with my parents. There's just something about the dynamic of an actual voice, but I do not like the inevitable lag still found with cellphone conversations. I like the paper trail of email when it's needed, and the convenience of texts, but I'm still a "call me" guy for a lot of things. Sometimes written form can be taken wrong because of the tone, and you might take a comment an entirely different way if the vocal inflection is there, thus avoiding a big problem. My $0.02 anyway, LOL
Good Morning and happy Friday-eve! Daisy, sorry to hear the update about your MIL but I am glad that she has you on her side advocating for her and hope you can get that second opinion.
At the ortho appt yesterday we found out Em will get her braces off in 8 weeks! But...in the meantime they added elastics (rubber-bands) and she texted me this morning that she was up most of the night in pain so I am hoping once she eats breakfast (which will have to be something soft like oatmeal) and takes some Advil she'll feel better.
Oh and I just need to put this out in the universe-purchasing a home is not for the weak or impatient, especially in a "sellers market".
Accountability: On plan (i did have a few crunchy chickpeas to see if they would work on a salad tonight).
ETA: QOTD: Depends, usually a text but sometimes the back/forth on a text drives me crazy and I could have a two-minute phone conversation and be done with it.

Have a great one!
We are planning on selling our home and buying a new one next year sometime and I'm already discouraged about buying. I've been watching homes that are similar to what we want, and they're snatched up within hours of being listed.

good morning everyone!
I had such a positive feeling all day yesterday...actually felt some confidence for the first time in a long time. Maybe it's because I officially hit my 50 lbs lost (from Highest weight) and it gave me a boost? I don't know but I am definitely feeling better lately!
QOTD: I love talking on the phone with my sister because texting just takes too long and we always have too much to say...anyone else I usually prefer texting or Email for shorter messages. I used to love using instant messenger because I type pretty quickly and I have a hard time with verbally expressing myself sometimes, but I don't usually have time to sit down at a computer to chit chat with people much anymore and I just get frustrated trying to type fast enough on my phone screen.
Morning: coffee w/half caramel PP
B: 3 turkey sausage links
L: leftover chicken Tikka Masala w/Peas
S: light & fit greek yogurt (didn't eat this yesterday)
D: some kind of leftovers- probably crab salad or Curry turkey meatballs
Have a wonderful day everyone!
