What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning! Yesterday I got up at 4 and hit the road for Mississauga, ON. I hit a traffic jam around Guelph and it was so big, I was still 15 minutes late to the training course. I only missed basic intros though, and the course went well. I wrote both exams and scored 99 on one, and 100 on the other, so I'll take that. The drive home was much the same. I brought my food with me so I stayed on plan, with the exception of a half of a bun with the turkey/provolone sandwich I bought at Costco in London. I ate half of it and saved the other half for my wife or daughter. They didn't want it so I took it for lunch today. I got my water in mostly after I got home (or close enough on the drive) because I didn't want to have to pee while sitting on the 401. Not a whole lot of exercise yesterday, but I still dropped 1.5 lbs from Monday.
Menu today: Protein bar for breakfast. MS: 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles. L: THe other half of that glorious sandwich, but likely as not the bun is too soggy so I'll just eat the meat and cheese. AS: 1/2 cup ff greek with 2 strawberries. Supper: Unknown but plan-forward. ES: Decaf
QOTD: I prefer bbq over all, but we use the crock pot a LOT. We also steam a lot of veggies. We have the old metal thing you put in a pot, but my wife also recently bought an entirely silicone steamer dish from pampered chef or whatever. It is pretty sweet.
QUESTION FOR YOU ALL: On top of the usual vitamins, my clinic in Windsor has me on vitamin b50 complex to bring up my thiamine a little bit. It's been working fine and my levels are all great. Yesterday at Costco, I didn't find b50 but I did find b100 in a bottle big enough to choke a donkey. I did a quick google on the difference and it appears to be math. b100 is doubled in everything but folate, so I bought it figuring I could split the pill in half (which would also mean 600 doses instead of 300....excellent). I've put in a call to Windsor to see if b100 is OK, but I could use your opinions on this.

Hello my friends,
Sorry to hear about your MIL, Daisy, and I so hope she will be feeling much better very soon. I too loved my MIL - I really won the In-Laws Lottery, as they were incredibly kind and generous to me and to my son and to the rest of my family, despite the fact that their son and I had called it quits. I truly couldn't have even imagined nicer in-laws, and I especially miss my MIL, may she rest easy.
QOTD: I love my Le Creuset pots and truly enjoy using them. I got a kind of fancy Breville convection oven/slow cooker/toaster oven/etc. combo which has been surprisingly useful. I like my pressure cooker a lot. I really like to BBQ, but didn't take mine when I moved from CA, and have not yet repurchased. Overall the grill and microwave are probably used a the most. In CA outdoor grilling was year-round, I probably will do the same here even though it sometimes snows here (can't wait!).
First: tea tea tea!
B: chicken salad
L: ham and smoked gouda
D: shrimp with a very little ****tail sauce
Have fun today my friends!
I have the same Breville (Williams Sonoma?). Loooove it!

Daisy sorry about your MIL, hope she gets better soon.
I got good news at the drs office yesterday, I don't have cirrhosis of the liver. Glad about that.
Had some cookies yesterday.
Today it's going to be a bad day. Be eating out 3 times. I had hot fudge cake already. Going to Logans for dinner.
Qotd I use the stove for my breakfast. Dinner is either my electric grill or instant pot.
Have a good day
