I am glad your consult went well. I was lucky (I think) and didn't have to wear compression gear after my PS but I know that really depends on the surgeon and procedure.

Thanks Kelly. While yesterday's consult was better than expected, I learned alot about more questions to ask. I made a call back to the first surgeon that I consulted with and had a great followup phone consult! I was amazed that the doctor was so willing to talk to me again to answer my questions. Very reassuring!

That's great. You want to feel comfortable with your surgeon so you can trust them.

I'm thinking September as well - for the same reason. We may be surgery buddies (in addition to librarian buddies and pool buddies!)

Sorry to hear about your MIL. Hopefully she gets some pain relief today.

Accountability: 95%? Almost got there. I had a few (5) nacho chips with supper. And a protein muffin that I made to use up some banana's. (Made 24 mini ones, only ate 1! So froze 23****ep hoping for a small pouch day. Doesn't happen very often. SIGH.

Tried a new kickboxing class last night. It was great! Really good workout. BUT awful expensive for a membership. Which is ok, as I have a gym membership but a little disappointing as I enjoyed it so much. I pay $55/month for my gym whi*****ludes pools, equipment, classes, and is always clean. I can't complain or switch. :)

QOTD: BBQ is my life as well. BUT given I live in Canada. I use the oven/frying pan/slow cooker in the winter. I was going to get an instant pot but after reading about them? I decided against it. It's just me, so I think it would be a waste.

Menu:

Breakfast: Tea with restoralx and vanilla premier protein

Snack: SKYR Greek yogurt with flax seed and smartie protein powder mixed in. (Very excited to try this new powder in my yogurt)

Lunch: chicken thigh with wiggle sauce!! (LOL Thanks to yesterday for this term!!)

Snack: IF needed, 2oz ham.

Supper: Chicken thigh with wiggle sauce. :)

Exercise: Tonight I'm doing a weight class followed by a 5KM on the treadmill. Summer is coming, races are coming, my training has been slacking. I'm going to have to go back to early morning sessions. 5KM in the morning with some ab work, and then weights in the evening. I live across the street from the gym so for me to get there in the morning takes maybe 4 mins. depending on how slow I walk. LOL

Have a great day everyone!!

Oh no! I hope they are able to get your MIL feeling better fast.

This week feels like it's been so long, I"m really happy it's Wednesday and getting close to the weekend!

Accountability: on track for everything which is a nice feeling!

QOTD: Today I get to move to soft foods so maybe I can start cooking a bit more; right now I'd say my #1 kitchen tool is the microwave since I use it to heat my milk/protein shakes for my coffee milk/coffee + pp which is my most consistent menu item. Funny because I never used the microwave before not even to heat up water for tea (it tastes so much better from the kettle).

Time since surgery - 9 weeks

B: coffee + pp X2

S: 2 oz deli turkey

L: Fage yogurt

D: 2 oz deli pastrami (that i will eat very very slowly and possibly invent a wiggle sauce for!)

Totals: 456 Calories, 73 protein, 14 carbs

V: on track -- I need to reorder calcium chews, anyone have a favorite flavor? I've been taking the blackberry and they are not horrible

Happy Wednesday all!

I love the caramel chews (not the chalky ones- I can't stand those!)-also it gives me the satisfaction of having a "candy" during the day. it tastes like an actual soft caramel! Kind of pricey but in my opinion, worth it!
