What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Daisy, I hope your MIL gets better soon. I was very close to my MIL as well and still miss her (she passed away a year ago at 97).

weight was higher than it's been in over a year this morning. YIKES. Too many high-calorie, high-sodium days lately. Last night we celebrated our 20th anniversary. Entree was fine (seared scallops & vegetables) - but there was the bread, the dessert, and the CHAMPAGNE (it was the first time I'd had alcohol in over three years). So today I buckle down again. This is starting to get out of hand. I can deal with five pounds. I cannot let this turn into 20...or 30...or 50.
QOTD: it's a toss-up between my Instant Pot and my grill pan (we don't grill outside much - but I do grill in my house using a grill pan on my gas stove). I rarely use my oven, oddly.
2 years 10 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with 2 T cherry butter
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake
L: 1 C cottage cheese
AS: L&F yogurt or a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie
D: pulled pork, Asian-style cole slaw
ex: it's supposed to be nasty this afternoon - snow & freezing rain - but if by chance it misses us, then Aqua Zumba
Happy anniversary! Cheering for you as you make some changes. It truly is hard, but we know what to do.

Happy Anniversary! You got this (on the weight). I'm about 1.5-2 over last year and I want to drop back before it is 5 or 10 or 20... Better to nip it in the bud now!

Good morning menu folks! I have been really tired the last few days. We had a full weekend including lots of driving in heavy traffic and I have been worn out.
Daisy, I hope that things go well with your MIL. Keep us posted. Also I hope you get cleared for exercise soon!
My 2nd consult for plastics was yesterday and it went better than I expected. I hadn't really thought that I'd like this guy, but it was truly informative and I may consider him. One more consult to go before I make a decision. I probably will wait until September for surgery though since wearing compression gear in the summer would be miserable.
Menu:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, 3 tater tots, turkey sausage patty
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, apple, almonds
Lunch: fish, salad
Snack: turkey breast, baby carrots
Dinner: BBQ chicken breast
Exercise: The weather is nice and I'd like to do an hour walk at lunch. I'd also like to do some swimming this evening, but I'll have to see if I have enough energy after work.
