Hello everyone, how are you all? All is good here. Well that is if you are a Polar bear, the weather here in Southern Ontario, Canada is brutal! I love snow, I don't mind cold temps, but I HATE RAIN!!! Its supposed to be sunny and a high of 14C (50F) on the weekend, I'll believe it when I see it.

Accountability: 100% spot on. Go figure I had a really small pouch day yesterday and I only ate lunch and dinner was two yogurts.

QOTD: Do you play the lottery? Do you buy scratch tickets? Do you have a lotto pool at work you pay into? I rarely if ever play the lottery. And truly the only reason is I forget to play! Hubby is in a lotto pool at work so maybe one day our numbers will come up. Oh the hospital foundation at my work every month has a draw for a winner to split 50/50 with the Foundation that months staff donations. The amounts are pretty decent what staff take home tax free, anywhere from $20k to $30k. Pretty nice right! It costs me $4 a month ($2 bucks a pay) to be in this. So I have 18 more working years to win! LOL

Time since surgery: 4 yrs + 5 mos

B: lots & lots of decaf + vanilla PP used as creamer then Activia yogurt

L: homemade grilled chicken salad with sunflower seeds/dried cranberries/parmesan cheese & balsamic

S: red pepper & laughing cow cheese (I use the red pepper like a "spoon")

D: two small chicken teriyaki skewers + couscous

S: GNC vanilla protein powder with half a banana & lactose free milk

TOTALS: MFP is still down for my desktop version. I can use the app on my phone and yesterdays totals were: 600 calories, 77 protein, 39 carbs

V: PatchMD patches are on + extra oral Dry D3 and extra oral B12

E: still resting my back

Have a good Tuesday!

Photo Friday idea: Post a pic of something in your house that is really old. Could be something given to you by a Grandparent/Parent, could be an antique you bought, could be something you found on a hike. Get creative!

On the plus side with the weather, work was dead yesterday. I got so much done!

We'll see if today is a different story...

qotd: not really, hubby pics up tickets occasionally. I fortunately/unfortunately know waaayyy too many people who have won the lotto. Not close enough to benefit directly, but close enough that I feel it can't happen to me hahahah. two seperate groups who won 30 plus million each, one who was part of a 10 million and 4 who (separately)won 100k -500k each. Crazy eh?

menu:

b: coffee and premier

L: leftover pork chop

D: tbd maybe fried cauli rice and pork?

S: Greek yogurt

S2: boiled eggs

I used to pick them up at the 7-11 and then that store had a big winner. I haven't bought one since.

Good morning menu folks! After a lovely summery day on Saturday, we've had 2 cool and miserable ones. I didn't even go outside yesterday, just snuggled inside.

Today I have my second plastics consult over lunch. This guy is my alternative but he is well reviewed and do say that he does body contouring for patients who have lost massive amounts of weight. I'll try to be open and ask lots of questions and learn more about him.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, ham, plain oatmeal

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, blueberries, cashews

Lunch: ? protein shake, string cheese, apple

Dinner: BBQ chicken breast, baby carrots

Exercise: I hope to get an hour in at the pool today

On my Facebook memories feed, it came up that in the last few years, I've already been outside working in the garden, getting a sunburn, etc. it made me seriously depressed about my lack of gardening this year! I've done some things on the few nice days we've had, but there's a few veggies that I normally would have in the ground by now. Sigh.

I had a weird food-shaming situation yesterday at work and I'm going to talk to my boss about it today. I forgot when I made my morning post here that work is catering lunch today and yesterday for tax day (I work in finance). Yesterday it was fried and baked chicken, salad, dinner rolls, and mashed potatoes. They kind of "police" our portions to make sure there's enough for everyone, so we were only allowed once piece of chicken. I took a baked drumstick, but nothing else (I can't have raw veggies yet or I might have had some salad). Turns out they're not real meaty and it was probably -maybe- 2 oz of chicken if that. Anyway, my boss had come by and very loudly said,"woah, Cassie, Do you think you'll eat all that food??" Kind or joking about my small portion. I laughed it off. I've been fairly open about my surgery at work so my close coworkers know. About an hour later they made a call for seconds and I wanted a bit more chicken so I went to get a second drumstick. My boss was "policing" the food area this round, and she said again, very loudly,"Wow, Cassie, I didn't expect YOU in line for seconds!" And everyone looked at me, I'm sure only seeing the fat girl in line for seconds. It made me feel like once again, I was eating too much and being made fun of about it. I didn't eat that second drumstick, and I didn't eat dinner either, and my protein was very low yesterday. I'm sure my boss will be horrified to know how her words came off, but it was very inappropriate to 1) call me out in front of people who don't know my situation, 2) talk about what I'm eating at all.

QOTD: I play the lottery when the stakes are outrageous and I have even less chance of winning haha. DH is in a work pool, but otherwise I just never think to buy a ticket.

breakfast: a soft cooked egg over my salmon pinwheel I didn't eat last night, about a spoonful of cooked kale

lunch: today's catering is Jimmy Johns, and we got to place our own orders (instead of work just ordering a variety of party subs). I ordered an Unwich, and asked for no veggies. Lol I wonder how they'll do an "unwich with no lettuce?"

dinner: on my own, probably just a tuna packet or maybe I'll pull some leftovers out of the freezer

im also waaay behind on gardening since our move. I don't even have the beds laid out!! we have soil delivering wednesday, will layout the uneven spots then put down the raised beds and get to work. it just such a big mess, but then again, we just had some snow flurries yesterday so it would have killed anything that was out so probably a blessing in disguise.

Yes last week was nice and I got my garden tilled and my pots filled with new potting soil. I have all my seeds started under grow lights in my cousins garage, so I'm READY but normally I'd have my broccoli, Brussels sprouts, onions, and kale already in the ground. I do have two 5 gallon buckets for potatoes planted also. But I do have some raised bed projects I've had to put off longer than I was hoping...

for your potato's do you just dump them out to harvest? I bought the 'bags' last year and they were a huge pain in the you know what- kept ripping- I saw that pintrest one that uses a laundry basket with the holes for easy harvesting. DH is the only one that will eat the potato also.

So I tried this method which might be a similar idea to the clothes basket?: https://youtu.be/zszmMPTg4wY

but it I found that by the time I may have had potatoes, the basket was so heavy and like, vacuum sealed? I couldn't get the pots separated. So yes, once the leaves had yellowed and died back, I just dumped the buckets. I put 2 seed potatoes in each bucket and got eh...maybe 3 lbs of potatoes per bucket. Not a huge harvest, but we don't eat that many anyway, and I think growing potatoes is fun lol
