Good afternoon,

I forgot to come on here this morning. I got ready for church and nobody was there so I came back home. We had freezing rain and sleet last night so I wasn't surprised that church was closed.

I spent yesterday in my pajamas and resting. My cold feels a little better today.

Accountability had extra coffee with fairlife milk, no extra food.

Qotd I live in Michigan, our weather is all over the place, it can be cold then hot. It almost snowed in July 1997. We have been having more tornadoes the past few years causing damages. Winters can be bad because I live on the wrong side of Lake Michigan.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D chicken breast and asparagus

Have a good day

Hi all! Happy Sunday!

I went for a very long walk on the beach with a friend and her black lab this morning. The beaches up here are so very different from beaches anywhere else I've ever been! They are stony, but Maine has stony beaches as well. What distinguishes these beaches are the enormous trees which have washed up over the years, often with roots and all! They lie all over and beyond the high tide mark, and you have to pick your way carefully through the maze to reach walkable stony sand. There was one tree trunk lying on the beach which must have been at least 100 feet long! I'm telling you, it was positively massive! And these old, weathered, driftwood behemoths ring the entire shoreline. It's amazing! At first I assumed all the trees were there due to logging mishaps, as that was and still is a big industry up here. That may be true of some of them, but that doesn't account for the enormous number of clearly completely uprooted trees. I'm going to have to read up on this phenomenon! The black lab demonstrated her heritage by plunging into the Sound and swimming after every stray stick of driftwood she could spot! She also plunged in with great vigor whenever she spotted ducks close to shore. The birds took wing of course, but that didn't stop the lab from trying! She really, really loves to swim!

QOTD: Well, I may have moved over 1000 miles, but I'm definitely still in earthquake and tsunami country! Add to that landslides, mudslides, and volcanoes! It is much colder here than in California's gorgeous and benign Central Coast, and of course it rains much more. It snows up here! I'm so excited to have it snow next winter! But it is definitely spring now - the fotsythia is in full brilliant bloom, many of the trees are wearing their beautiful, lacy, bridal finery, and the tulips are up, though not yet opened. The gorgeous cherry tree outside of my door is beginning to bloom! It's so, so pretty!

First: two gigantic mugs of tea!

B: ham & smoked gouda

L: Greek yogurt with some Cinnamon Buns protein powder stirred in

D: probably some shrimp.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
