Thank you so much, Cara! I know, I just can't imagine losing a baby and my heart goes out to Tasha's mom for her loss of those twin babies. I guess she was very young when she had the twins. What a sad thing to happen.

I spoke too soon about MFP. Last night and this morning my apps wouldn't sync, which seems to imply that the main MFP server is down.

Good morning! Our Saturday was fun and a little different with an 8 hour cruise to an island and lunch there. On the way back, 4 Dolphins swam next to the boat and gave us a wonderful show. They were so close you could almost touch them! Today is lots of laundry, beginning the packing for going home, and talking to a contractor about estimates for potential work in the fall.

QOTD: Massachusetts can get extreme weather with "Nor'easters", as well as hurricanes periodically. Of course our winter home, Florida, is way more subject to hurricanes and sometimes tornadoes but mostly when we aren't here. But that is one of the reasons we have to bring all our porch furniture and the screens for the garage door inside the garage before we leave.

2 Years post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese

L: Deli turkey

D: probably grilled salmon

S: Yogurt and/or mozzarella/prosciutto sticks

Good morning!

Went out with some friends last night for the first time since my revision surgery. One of my best friends was performing in a Disney themed burlesque show. Thankfully she reserved us a table because the place was packed to the brim. I was good and only drank water all night.

QOTD: we get a mix of weather here in Ohio. Sometimes we can get a bad winter and get a lot of snow. It's more common to have severe thunderstorms and chances of tornados.

B/ Mexican breakfast wrap

L: chicken salad

D: chicken Parm burger no bun

S: babybell & protein ball

E: walking

Happy Sunday!! My saturday was great and now I have a class this morning and then laundry and getting ready for the week this afternoon.

QOTD - I moved to AZ because this is where my company's HQ was and when they moved it here from NY in the 50s they picked AZ because there were no weather events, no earthquakes and had a "major" airport. Not sure they expected the every decade or so 120+ weeks that can/have impacted flights...who could predict that (and it is rare).

Accountability: Because I was on the go so much, I made more milk choices that I should have, pushing my daily carbs over my 20 goal.

B: coffee and premier

S: coffee and premier

L: protein water

S: cheese stick

D: sliced ham

Have a fantastic day!

Mornin'!

I worked all day yesterday and then came home and took a long nap, so nothing exciting went on. Now I am sitting in my bed with a cat on top of me, watching the snowstorm outside. Snowstorm...in April! Snow in April is unusual here in Wisconsin- but definitely not unheard of - but not this late in the month and not the type that accumulates. It usually melts when it hits the ground. But not this time. WTH?? I've read this weird weather is due to the position of the jet stream. I just hope it goes back into its normal place soon so we can finally enjoy the spring!

I was supposed to meet some friends this morning for brunch, but we canceled because of the roads. This is insane (i.e., bad roads this time of year - who would have guessed?). I also need to go to the grocery store, but I think I'll just sit here and watch movies or cook some things for this week - not going out in this.

QOTD: Wisconsin traditionally gets really cold in winter but....at least in this part (south) doesn't get as much snow as you would think. We're on the wrong side of Lake Michigan for that (or the right side - depending on your perspective). I grew up in northeastern Ohio, and we got way more snow there than we do here. Summers here are short but can be very hot and humid. Spring and fall are (usually) wonderful - when they last (sometimes I swear they're only like two weeks long!). The last 10 years or so have been really weird weather-wise, though, so I never know what to expect. We get tornadoes occasionally (tornado alley covers a wide area adjacent to the Mississippi River, but they get 'em worse on the southern end of the Mississippi), but that's about it as far as natural disasters.

had cottage cheese, beef jerky, and cheese sticks yesterday, so I'm super bloated this morning. I'm *very* salt sensitive. I need to try to eat really low-sodium today - and drink lots of fluid!

2 years 10 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade cherry/cranberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax vanilla chai latte shake

L: tuna salad in a Flat Out wrap

D: pork chop or pulled pork, Asian-style slaw

Morning pouch pals! I did my run- rainy and windy- but got it done. My son asked me to make blueberry muffins that my Mom had made last time we visited them. They are dangerously yummy, and my son is disappointed with them cause th blueberries were huge so it's more flavor in them he'd prefer. I'll take them to work if both boys return their nose up at them.

Yesterday I worked some more on my yard project. I moved my hostas to a different place in the yard and started digging out the retaining wall space. I'm gonna order the supplies and get this done the next warm weekend we have.

Qotd: I'm in Philly, no extreme weather here. We'll get a bad storm in each season- but nothing significant. How storms impact us is being a urban area we can't manage hit after hit of storms. We can handle one if we have time to recover, clean up and prepare for another. But back to back storms hurt us. We've had really mild earthquakes, and some hurricanes. Nothing as memeorable as hurricane Gloria when I was a kid.

It's finally spring here in Anchorage! The sun is rapidly melting the snow out front (out back will take a few more weeks to melt), and the bike/running trails are ice free so I can finally stop running the indoor track at my gym and run OUTDOORS! We've had sunshine all week and it's been just heaven. I would love to set a 100-day running goal, but for now I just want to see how long I can keep my current streak going. :)

QOTD: Extreme weather? Let me count the ways! Anchorage is in what we call the banana belt of Alaska, because of ocean currents, but I've sure seen plenty of -20, -30, -40 degree weather for weeks on end. Some years have low snow and some years are extreme amounts of snow. Then there are earthquakes, hurricane force winds (where roofs blow away, trees are uprooted, trailers roll across the highway)...AND we have volcanoes nearby. But I'll take this over having snakes!! ;) We do have four seasons though. Almost winter, Winter, Still winter, and Construction season!

B: 1 scrambled egg and 1/2 piece of bacon, cup of black coffee

L: 3-4 oz chicken poached in broth with herbs, 1/3 C fresh asparagus

D: 3 oz sirloin tip steak sliced over leaf lettuce with balsamic vinegar

S: Isopure Zero Carb protein shake

Water: about 18 gallons I think, ha!

And all the vites, all day long without fail. Four months to my next bloodwork so hoping to see I'm still doing well 5 years out now.

Thanks for keeping this thread going, always a good read and good ideas :)
