!Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!

Wow, we are in a huge blizzard here in Nebraska! White-out conditions, high wind and lots of blowing snow! I'm so glad I don't have to get out in it and go anywhere!

QOTD: I have some vivid memories from when I was 18 months old and my crib caught on fire! My mom read that she should let me "cry myself to sleep" and she tried it that night, but soon decided my cries sounded worse than just "I don't want to go to sleep" cries and came to check on me. I had pulled my night light into the crib and it caught my pillowcase on fire! I don't really remember the actual fire, but I vividly remember being set up on the dresser and looking into the mirror at a burned hole in my sleeper pajamas and I also remember seeing my favorite pillowcase all burned up and lying in the bathtub along with the dogs' water dishes which my parents used to put out the fire.

Accountability: I can't get myfitnesspal to work today so I don't have yesterday's totals, but I think I did pretty well.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread

D: chicken stir fry

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: possibly riding the exercise bike since it's a blizzard outside.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Wow, how fortunate that you were not burned! That just have scared your parents to death! So glad you were okay. Also, your comments yesterday about how you looked as a kid have stuck with me. You are such a beautiful person inside and out, and I'm sorry you ever felt less than that. I remember being around 4 or 5, right at eye-level with doorknobs. I recall going to a friend's house and standing into my distorted reflection in their round brass doorknob, while I waited for them to come out to play. Examining myself, I realized that I looked exactly like Howdy Doody, all big nose, freckles, and red hair. I felt that my appearance was profoundly unfortunate, and somehow internalized that, not really realizing that the curve of the knob distorted things as much as they did. Howdy Doody was not a good look for a little girl!

Oh, Cara, you are so sweet and kind! You are a beautiful person inside and out as well! OMG, Howdy Doody! You poor baby, thinking you looked like that! Fortunately as a kid I was pretty oblivious to how I looked, it was only as an adult looking back at those pictures that I have been so mortified by my childhood appearance.

Morning folks!! Happy Saturday! I've been in my run and am dressed, I want to head out to BJ's early. I missed the kid pics yesterday- I'm adding my baby pic here and will look over yesterday's thread later.

qotd: I have two vivid memories from childhood- both involve scaring my parents half to death. One is when I stuck a key in a electrical outlet in the kitchen. I remember looking at the key/outlet thinking that would be a perfect fit for the key. Kneeling down and putting the key in. I remember getting a shock but nothing afterwards.

Second was when I was upset over something, so I "ran away" aka hid in my closet for hours. I remember the whole family looking for me. They even callled the police- and I remember my brother and a police officer looking in my closet for me and not seeing where in there I was hiding. I came out when everyone left the house to look for me because I didn't want them to find my hiding spot.
