What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Oh man, Karen, you are beautiful! I think pretty much everyone goes through an awkward adolescent phase. I too had glasses, terrible acne, buckteeth, and of course, I was significantly overweight. I got contacts, my face cleared up, and I'm taking care of the weight...but I still have the buckteeth and rarely smile showing my teeth :P

whoops! Added this pic after I already submitted - I'd planned for it to go on the bottom of my post, not the top! Anyway, I was hoping to find a much younger picture of myself but couldn't find one quickly, so this one will have to do. I was about 10 here, I think

You look the same! Funny how some people are SO recognizable at any age and some you really can't tell.

Hi!
I'm so happy it's Friday! I'm going to see the last regular season game for our local AHL team tomorrow night. Other than that, I have no plans and will likely stay at home. Which is fine for me considering the weather is supposed cold and rainy with possible freezing rain. Where are you spring?!
Accountability: I mostly stayed on plan, but did not get all my protein in. I had about 6 bites of supper (ground turkey) and it didn't agree with me. I felt really bad for about 45 minutes until I was sick. Blah. I feel like I'm literally back at the fluids stage. All that I tolerate well is yogurt, soups and drinks.
QOTD:
- My son
- My family
- My job
- Hockey
- Reading
Time Since Surgery: 6 weeks
B: Greek Yogurt
MS: Protein Shake
L: Butternut Squash Soup
AS: Protein Shake (I added this in to make sure I get my protein today)
S: I may try ground turkey again. Or I may have an egg. Or some soup.
E: I'm hoping to get a couple of walks in if the weather cooperates.
I'll have all my vitamins and water. I'm working at increasing my water to over 70oz a day. I'm around 60oz-64oz normally.

Katie, I'm a few weeks ahead of you recovery wise but I tried something new last night -- turkey meatballs from Target. They are very small (6 makes a serving) and we're really easy to eat; I stopped at 4 because I was feeling full but didn't get any tummy troubles from them. I've been having a hard time adding meats back in (good thing I like shakes, eggs, cheese and yogurt) but these worked well for me.
