Hi all. I have been seriously craving chocolate! Does anyone have any good ideas to help satisfy this craving without adding too many calories? My chocolate protein shake is not doing the trick.

Chocolate cravings may be due to low magnesium. I personally take app 2000mg of different type of magnesium "product" per day.

but if i really want chocolate - not the sugar- I get 85% dark chocolate and eat a small piece of it. allowing it to dissolve in my mouth. Then I take another small piece.. Typically - I may have a 2-3 small pieces and I'm good for another month.

Just my opinion as this worked well for me. Fight off all cravings you have, for as long as you can. I fought cravings and did not cave until at least 9 months. I will admit to "tricking" myself by utilizing a quest bar , but not every day. The longer you can not cave to the cravings, the better. Good luck.

When I really need a chocolate fix I go for SF chocolate pudding cups. Usually around 90 Cals a cup. I've done SF hot chocolate too.

SF pudding with protein powder is a good choice, I ate a lot of that in the first few months after surgery!

I know that if I were to buy a full bar of that stuff, I would eat the whole thing, which is No Bueno.

Funny. I find it's so intense that I only eat 1 square at a time. And it's not sweet at all. It's like they just waved the sugar now by it and didn't put any in, lol. But also I keep it in my desk drawer at work, not at home.

You can get individual squares in some brands.
