What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good Morning!
No rain here for a couple days and it?s gonna be in the 60-70?s for a few days.
I started feeling better yesterday afternoon but I made a big mistake. I decided to have my smooth chicken salad and mindlessly ate it while going through work emails. About 10 mins in I felt the pain. It was then in realized I ate to quickly. For the next 1.5 hours I had the sharp middle of the chest pain off and on and a bit of foamies. Lesson learned.
QOTD: I have an alarm clock, iPhone, hair ties, glass of water and a few random knickknacks.
B: Greek yogurt
L: refried beans with cheese
D: turkey chili
S: protein ball

Have a great one!
Good morning! Yesterday I seemed to have boundless energy. After work, I did an extra half mile on the elliptical, then went home and proceeded to get a start on breaking sod to double the size of my garden. I probably spent about 2 hours tilling, digging, and raking up sod. My arms feel like bricks today, and I have more to do, but I want to get it done while we have a small window of warm weather. Then this weekend--thunderstorms and winter mix again. Ugh.
Qotd: on my bedside table I have a water bottle, lotion, a dish that I keep my wedding ring in when I take it off, my phone charger, and about half a dozen books stacked up, some are finished, some I'm halfway through, and some yet to be read.
breakfast: budding lunch meat and a string cheese
lunch: 2-3oz meatloaf, 1/4 C green beans
dinner: probably something I pull from the freezer to reheat, since I won't want to cook if I'm going to be working hard outside. Turkey meatballs, perhaps.
I haven't put this into MFP yet, but I'll determine if I should have a protein shake based on the numbers. I'm still kind of hit or miss on getting it all from food alone.

Thank you! I didn't make an announcement or anything. I feel like It won't "hit me" until I'm at a weight I don't remember being, if that makes sense? Like right now I can say, "no big deal, that's where I was when I moved in with DH..."
but I already feel pretty good physically and I don't remember feeling this good when I was at this weight on my way UP.

Sure, I totally get it. I remember being at the weight i am now, but I never lingered here - I was always on my way up or down, like a subway stop where you don't get off! Still, I remember getting into the 2's. it's a legit milestone, though not as exciting as getting into the 1's will be!
I honestly don't remember when I weighed in the ones, it had to have been middle school. And I never paid attention to my exact weight in high school either, I tried to just be "the funny fat girl" that didn't care about her weight. I'm kind of sad that I have absolutely no idea what I weighed at any given point now though.

I remember within a very few pounds what I weighed at pretty much every point in my life! "Oh yeah, I was 225# when I went into labor; I was 200# when my son was a week old", "when I met Mr. So-and-so I was 150 #, when I went back to school i was 140#, when I started diet #9 I was 190#", etc. When I started THIS diet i was 353#. Really working on applying all the rules and recommendations in order to give myself the very best shot at combating future gain, because obesity is always out (actually, in) there, waiting and watching for weakness, malevolent old snake that it is!
Good morning everyone! Things are good here in Chicago, and we might even hit 60 degrees today!
My nightstand has a lamp, a stack of my favorite books, my glasses, and a phone/watch charger. Nothing too exciting, just the things that I need.
Accountability-yesterday was good. I had a big presentation to give at work, so my nerves kept me from eating too much during the day. But, I had a little too much dinner and an extra evening snack..ugh.

morning all!
SO happy today is finally going to be in the 60's! (also near Chicago).
I was really hungry yesterday after work which hasn't happened to me more than one or two times since the surgery, and my husband made some delicious salmon patties which I proceeded to eat way too fast and ended up feeling pretty nauseated for about an hour and a half afterward, but lesson learned!
been doing much better lately on getting in my protein...I still use Premier Protein in my morning coffee for the extra boost which I will probably continue doing since it's better than using other creamers with zero nutritional value, but otherwise I have not had any issues with any foods I've tried thus far. I am a little nervous about raw veggies but I miss them! I made hummus last week and ended up not eating any but a spoonful to taste it because I was afraid to eat the raw carrots/celery LOL. DH ate the rest.
QOTD: I have a lot of stuff on my bedside table- Sound machine/alarm clock, Kleenex, 4 books, water bottle, hair ties, my allergy meds and probiotics (I take them when I first wake up in the am), lotion, phone/charger, and baby monitor (yes we still use it even though she's 3)...and my glasses when I go to bed.
on the shelf underneath I keep my bullet journal/pens/pencils/markers, and my crochet bag with hooks and yarn in it.
Morning Coffee w/caramel PP
B: cottage cheese w/strawberries
L: leftover salmon patty w/brussels sprouts
D: Chicken Tika Masala cooking in the crockpot
I didn't bring any snacks today but MFP shows I'm on track for protein so I don't think I'll need one.
