Im I probably not grtting my 64 oz a day in, i just ment i keep it with me at all times and drink throughout the day as long as i feel i can.

Sorry for the confusion. I ultimately ment that thats the only thing that sounds good and also that doesnt make me gag or my stomach turn but (sometimes it does)

For me, nausea comes from dehydration. As a new post op, water was problematic unless it was tepid. I had better luck with hot, unsweetened herbal tea, which was soothing for my stomach.

Coffee, even decaf may be too acidic at this point and could be contributing to your nausea. I would try the warm herbal tea suggestion and see if you can get that down. Also, try really, really, really small sips. Finally, have you tried sugar free popsicles or sugar free italian ice? It counts as a liquid and if you're dehydrated it could help. Do not give up and keep hounding your surgeon!

If you have been THOROUGHLY examined, and nothing is physically wrong, you might just have to suck it up.

Unless you are vomiting up all liquid, you have to drink like it's your job, whatever drink you find you like. You can try protein shakes and food once you have the drinking sorted.

Dehydration is by far the biggest source of nausea and noone should need two IV rehydrations.

There is an awesome post by a late member here called There's No Crying In Baseball. It's not gentle hand holding but it may help you to read it.
