Good Morning!

Hit up the $5 tee shirt sale for Old Navy online last night. I've got some room in my closet now after puring old clothes over the weekend.

Spent some time with my 10 month old nephew. He's in the phase of wanting to be picked up and put down. Might have over did it cause my left side was hurting for a bit Saturday night.

QOTD: my sleeping habits have gotten much better since surgery. I use to have terrible insomnia and nightmares but I realized that's much better since surgery.

B: triple zero yogurt

L: chicken salad

D: turkey chili

S: homemade protein ball

E: walking

WOW, its been 9 months already since I had surgery. I am still losing steadily and below my original goal. This last month I lost 5 pounds which seems to be pretty good. It would be better if I completely stuck to plan. Since I don't really have a final goal weight but feel that I should stop in the next 10 pounds because I would be happy at 150 which is a normal BMI for my height 5 foot 6, I think that is where I will land.

QOTD: I do not sleep well but a lot has to do with autoimmune issues. I do try to get 7 hours every night. I get up late because I work from home, usually at 8 am but you will find me working weekends and weeknights and putting in a good 10 a day before I call it quits.

Food for the day.

Isopure banana shake with water ice and copious amounts of coffee

Lunch: Chicken salad or scrambled eggs with cheese and ham

Dinner: Pork country style rib meat with sf bbq and cole slaw with low calorie dressing

Low carb yogurt

we're the same height. I think normal BMI for us ranges from about 114-154, so when I got down into the high 140s (I did drop lower for awhile, but I'm back up there again), I got a DEXA scan to see how much fat I had (and thus, if I should try for a lower weight). I found that very helpful. At 146 lbs I had 22% body fat, which is on the low side (although still in a healthy & normal range), so the DEXA technician (and my old PCP, and my new PCP, and my bariatric surgeon) said to stop - that this was a good, healthy weight for me. Anyway, if you get to 150 and are very comfortable there, then...ta da!...there you are. But if you get there and aren't really sure, then a DEXA scan could be very helpful in determining where you should be.

Hi,

Can't see how anyone at 114 at 5 6" would look good under any cir****tance but oK! Maybe beauty pageant participants LOL

If I had a Dexascan, I probably would have more fat than I should so I might get discouraged. :)

My gene pool is Puerto Rican/Italian and I could not imagine weighing below 145 since I am pear shaped and no amount of weight loss will change the fact I have a big butt.....just saying (and maybe TMI)

I like being a little curvy and I know it is common for some nationalities to like the curves. My husband likes my curves and I do too so probably I will stay at higher end of normal BMI for my height.

it depends a lot on your frame size - and how muscular you are. My mother-in-law is our height and I doubt she weighs much more than 114. She's extremely thin and has bird bones to boot. I could never go that low. I have a large frame and am pretty muscular. My muscles alone (according to the DEXA scan) weigh more than that!

I was surprised about the 22% body fat when I still at the higher end of the BMI range, but..there you go. I'm pretty lean even at the high end of the normal BMI range. I had a plastic surgery consult Thursday, and the surgeon said he wouldn't have much fat to work with in my case (as in move around and use in other places) - so that's just another confirmation.

Good morning! Yesterday I spent mostly in bed but I did drag my butt to the gym. I didn't feel very well, but I think it's just this crazy changing weather. I mostly just had a killer headache and then I alternated between runny nose and being plugged up. Oy vey! I feel somewhat better today, but not great.

My breakfast didn't sit very well this morning. I didn't get sick or have to cough it up but I did feel nauseous after a few bites.

Qotd: I go to bed around 10 and up at 5, but my sleep is broken a lot due to cats, all three of them tend to pile on me in every nook and crevice, so THEY get comfortable, and then I get restless, but I'm pinned down by three comatose piles of furry dead weight. Or I'll get too hot, because again, I'm basically wearing weighted fur blankets to bed. My youngest begins the "waking up mom" process around 4:30 AM, but I try to pretend to still be asleep until my alarm goes off, hoping she'll eventually take the hint that she won't get fed until then.

breakfast: 1 egg, 1 sausage link, didn't eat more than a few bites of either.

Lunch: I brought the rest of my turkey burger patty with cheese

dinner: maybe salmon

protein shake probably soon, and I also bought some of the LonoLife protein coffee pods, so I'll try one of those.

Happy Monday!!

The weekend was great, spent a large chunk of time on line conferenced with a friend finalizing the bookings for our trip to Iceland at end of May. I can't wait!

Accountability:Very excited I had two non liquid meals..and one was meat that didn't cause any issues (turkey cheddar jalapeño links for the win!).

QOTD: I sleep 5-6 hours most nights, usually up by 4:00 am -- I'm excited on a weekend if I sleep until 6. My body clock has always been this way, even when I travel it takes one night and I'm awake at 4ish local time again. When I was immediate post op, I was a bit freaked out that I might need more sleep because I was getting 10-12 hours a night...but that went away.

B: Coffee with .5PP

S: Coffee with .5PP

L: Turkey Sausage link

S: String cheese

D: Skyr

Totals: 576 calories, 70 protein, 23 carb - I'm trying to stay 20 carbs or lower so I might have to make a swap out of the skyr. We'll see.

E - I have my walking group tonight and looking forward to it. I may take my headphones in case I want to do more laps than the others.

Have a wonderful Monday!
