What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
welcome to Sunday funday!
how was everyone's Saturday? Our euchre tournament was a blast. It was a smaller crowd than previous years, but we raised more money. Today will be breakfast with the in laws before they hit the road. Them either practical chore stuff, or fun shopping/crafts with one of my sisters. Guess which option I'm rooting for hahah
might try and fit a Costco run in too.
QOtd: let's talk grills! Are you a griller? Gas or charcoal? We use our gas grill almost year round. I have been thinking more and more about charcoal though. Some people swear by the green egg etc, but they are priiicy! Are they worth it, over cheaper versions?
menu:
all up in the air today to be honest. But all the meats!
have a good one!

Good morning weekenders! I had a mixed bag yesterday. I did some OT telework in the morning and again in the afternoon, and I'm back at my computer again this morning. I won't work a full day, but I'm trying to get in some solid hours for the $$.
Yesterday I did an hour of laps at the pool and then a 45-minute high paced Aqua Zumba class. I was really tired afterward but enjoyed myself greatly! Today I want to get back to the pool and do an hour of laps, but the weather is warmer and supposed to be sunny so I may trade out for a long hike in a local park. Not sure that I should try to do both much as that sounds fun.
Accountability: we ordered dinner from a local restaurant and they have the most marvelous mini sweet potato pies. It blew my calories and carbs for the day but BOY was it yummy!

Breakfast: chicken salad, blueberries
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, apple, almonds
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausages, baby carrots
Snack: turkey breast, cantaloupe, cashews
Dinner: beef & broccoli
Exercise: an hour of swimming or a long hike

Happy Sunday! I've been up since 4 am, as I had to drive DD to the airport to fly home. It is sad to see her leave. Today we are having lunch with our walking group, as most of us go home over the next couple of weeks (we fly in 10 days).
QOTD: We grill a lot, always on gas. On Cape Cod we have the natural gas line plumbed for the grill so we never have to change tanks. Here we have a propane tank. Both are Weber grills. I don't know anything about any other grills...

Happy Sunday!
Finally went through my closet and got rid of clothes that are way too big. Now to drop them off in the donation bin today so the bag doesn't sit around all week.
QOTD: I love to grill but unfortunately living on a second floor condo, the city prohibits grills on our wooden balcony. Potential fire hazard. I do prefer charcoal over gas though.
B: 2 eggs scrambled with cottage cheese
L: chicken salad
D: turkey chili
S: homemade protein ball
E: walking

Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!
Most of the snow has melted, but it's cold, windy and gloomy out today. I sure wish Spring would hurry up and come!
QOTD: I bought a little, table-top charcoal grill last summer on our local dollar auction and used it a few times. It seems like a lot of work, though, to heat up the charcoal and grill for just my daughter and myself and it looks like she is going to be in New York City this summer doing another internship, so I doubt I'll fire it up for just myself. I do have a George Foreman grill that I use a lot in the house.
Accountability: I've been kind of high on calories lately and need to rein it in before I start regaining. Protein - 113, Calories - 1,576, Carbs - 146.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana
L: roast beef & cheese on 45 calorie bread, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: microwave meal
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups
E: Taking Blossom for a walk
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Thanks, Janet! She hasn't gotten one yet, but she is applying for several. Yes, I thought she would be home in May, but looks like she's going to be gone longer. And once that is done she will probably get a job in NYC, too. My baby has grown up and flown the coop! Yes, I'll have to stay busy horseback riding and other things so I don't miss her too much.
I know that you are proud of her, but it must be particularly hard having her away from home since it had just been the two of you.
