What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Thanks for saying that! I looked so much older than I was before WLS, I hope I stay looking younger for a little while anyway.

Mornin' All! Made it to Des Moines around 11:00 pm last night (Chicago traffic was horrendous - otherwise, we probably would have been here by 9:00!) . Great consult with the plastic surgeon. I want to do a couple more, though, just for comparison - but I really liked him. Cost was about what I expected. Not cheap, but again, about what I expected.
Accountability was great yesterday. Today is kind of up-in-the-air. I know the restaurant we're all going to tonight, and I'm going to order the meatballs-with-marinara-sauce appetizer. Otherwise?? They have breakfast in this hotel. The yogurt isn't Greek, so it's super low in protein (5 grams? Please!). But I got that (because I love yogurt in the morning), put a tablespoon of sliced almonds on it, and had what looks like a one-egg Western omelet, but I counted it as two just in case. I'll have some low-cal, very protein-forward lunch, so I might be OK..
2 years 10 months out:
B: small Western omelet, thing of light, non-Greek yogurt with 1 T sliced almonds
MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: ???
AS: I'll take one of these light yogurts back up to the room. Even though it's low protein, it's very low-cal
D: meatballs in marinara sauce
Glad to hear that the consult went well!

Are you looking at plastic surgeons in chicago? If so, may I ask who?
im also looking at Chicago surgeons, so just curious on who others like!
Daniel Krochmal (Northbrook) and David Shifrin (in Chicago proper) are both top notch plastic surgeons, and both studied under Joseph Hunstad in Charlotte NC, who's very well-respected in the subfield of body contouring for massive weight loss patients. In fact, I get the sense that Dr. Hunstad is "a plastic surgeon's plastic surgeon" - as in well-regarded by other plastic surgeons. Neither Dr. Krochmal or Dr. Shifrin specialize in massive weight loss patients, but that's the majority of their business.
Lawrence Zachary at the Univ of Chicago specializes in body contouring for massive weight loss patients, but I've heard he's really expensive - but I may do a consult with him anyway.
I also set up a consult with the Univ of Chicago residency program since Dr. Zachary is on the faculty there (and I assume he might be the supervising surgeon with those types of surgeries, since that's his specialty, but then, I don't *know* that - it's just my assumption - I plan on asking, though!). But U of C called me the other day and canceled my appt - they said they'd call back to reschedule.
I saw Dr. Krochmal yesterday and was very impressed with him, but I want to talk to a couple others, first. Probably Dr. Shifrin and the U of C residency program - and possibly Dr. Zachary on his own, too (as in his private practice) . I was all set to go with Dr. Krochmal yesterday, but I think it would be good to get a couple more opinions first.
Morning! Y'all are so beautiful! Love the pictures.
This weekend is a busy but fun one. Friday nights I go to International Friendships. It's an outreach to help international students in Dayton feel more comfortable and intergrated into the commununity. Lots of fun and tasty, authentic international food.
Then I'm going to Nashville on Sunday! Hooray!
QUOTD: I've never been stuck, no. Unless you count Disney's Tower of Terror ;)
