My forsythia survived one snow and several frosts. I also planted pansies because they are pretty hardy even with some cold weather. The forecast for tomorrow had been for snow, but it looks like it will miss us and just be cold.

Good morning! I looked outside today to see.....snow. The roads were dry in my 'hood, so off I went on my bike. 3 minutes in, and the roads turned to slush so now I'm soaked from the waist down, and I smell salt so i think they brined overnight. That's gonna be awesome later, LOL....sigh.. If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?

Menu: Protein bars and shakes, and slamming the water. I did fine yesterday, though I did add a couple of those little triangle-shaped sandwiches you see at meetings as an afternoon snack at work. 2 of them was about the size of a deck of cards which wasn't terrible, but they had a good amount of roast beef in them, which is why I took them. It was delicious. I was down 2.6 lbs from the day before which was pretty awesome to see.

Today is my youngest daughter's 8th birthday. We have a few things planned, but she's most excited about being able to legally ride in the front seat of the car. She's been so focused on that (she's a funny little thing, always surprising you with her observations and a unique perspective). So we are taking her to her favourite chinese food place. The old couple that have run it forever love to see her walk through the door. I figure I can pick some proteins off the menu and the kids can have the run of the buffet. I don't do those anymore. I can't wait to see her little face when we go in there. :)

QOTD: I was stuck in the work elevator for a while one day. It was on the way in, so I really didn't care. I was on the clock, so it was all good. LOL On a Friday afternoon as I leave work, I always take the stairs, bike over my shoulder, for that reason. If I get stuck on my way OUT of here, I'd be pretty ticked. Hahaha
