Good morning Daisy and Menu crew. Windy last night here as well, snow flurries,etc...yuck. I work a half day next Thursday and will be on a plane to Florida at 4 pm. I am ready for some sun and sand. Just Joddie and I and My folks, we are staying a week at a timeshare we own and are meeting friends there as well, going to head to St Petes Beach for a night while down there as well as spend a day at Epcot.

Accountability - was real good , no evening snacks...

QOTD - I Have one brother - several first cousins. Growing up we would have Holiday meals at the Church hall because there were so many of us. My wife comes from a large extended family, her Mom had 13 brothers and sisters. Her late grandfather was quite a character and I will never forget the first time I met him at Christmas dinner, the place was packed and went quiet when I walked in as everyone was waiting to jear what he would say to me. I will not repeat it here, but it was funny.

morning everybody!

It's still cold here too but thankfully no storms, just impatiently waiting for Spring to actually hit.

QOTD: I have an enormous family...my mom has 8 brothers and 2 sisters and they are all very close. I grew up with 28 first cousins on that side and still keep in touch with the majority of them through social media and a few of them are very close like siblings who I talk to regularly over the phone since most of us live a distance away from each other. We have been planning annual get-togethers for the last few years and they are growing, so I think this summer's gathering will be pretty big...not quite "family reunion" status, but a lot of the "cousins" will be there and many of my aunts and uncles...most of my cousins are also married with kids so it is a lot of fun getting everyone together! there are well over 100 of us, but I have no idea exactly the number. My dad's family is not very close but has become slightly closer in the last few years after my grandmother passed away 2 Christmases ago and my dad's brother got very sick and nearly died last year so he came to stay with my parents for a couple months. I have only met each of them a handful of times and same with their kids who are similar in ages to my siblings and I. I have one younger brother and one younger sister, both are married, my sister has 2 kids and one on the way and my brother's wife just had their first child this past Christmas eve. we are very close.
My husband also comes from a large family, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and they all have kids also, as well as a few grand kids in there. we do get together with his family on some holidays- christmas, july 4th and a few other occasions throughout the year as they live about an hour and a half away.

Morning: coffee w/ caramel PP
B: Cottage cheese w/fresh strawberries
L: leftover chicken"crack"
D: I forgot to set something out to thaw so it will probably be eggs or omelettes
S: string cheese

enjoy your day everyone!

Good morning everyone! That winds sound horrible! It is regularly windy where I live and it drives me crazy, but nothing like that. Only 2 weeks until I get to see my son on family day before graduation! He is currently 1/2 way through "The Crucible", a very serious challenge all Recruits must go through to earn the title of Marine (tomorrow at 8am - it will be official) - it's BRUTAL and the final test for these young men. Please say a prayer or swing a chicken that they all make it safe and sound!

QOTD - I come from a big family - 6 kids, lots of aunts/uncles/tons of cousins all over the country. My sons father also has a huge family (all in our area) grandparents, aunts/uncles and a million cousins and lots of friends that are considered family- just huge. Rob has a small family, mom/dad/ brother I think 1 aunt/uncle and maybe a few cousins. They are not very close. Because my son is an only child, my wish is for him to have lots of kids w/someone from a big close family so he is never, ever alone.

Accountability - awesome - I was too busy to think about food, how about that!

16+mo post op

b-coffee w/hc, splenda, HB eggs

l-gyro meat, tomato, cucumber, greek yougurt and feta

d-philly cheese in a bowl - didn't have last night...

v/l - on track

Have a great day everyone!
