Hello from bitter cold, windy, snowy Ontario! OMG guys its brutal here! The winds were so bad it was ripping people's 80 year old trees out and my parents lost parts of their fence in their backyard from the wind. Our house and yard were fine.

Accountability: GOOD! I am back on track! I had to white knuckle it through the carb withdrawal but I did it!

QOTD: Do you come from a big family or small family? Do you have a lot of "friends of the family" that you actually consider family? I have a teeny tiny family. Mom/Dad/Sister. No 1st cousins. My sister had one child so there is only one grandchild. My husband comes from a massive family, he has a Mom/Dad/Sister but about 8 million Aunts & Uncles and cousins for days! He literally has family EVERYWHERE around the World. Its pretty cool since I grew up in such a small family and never experienced the excitement never ending things to do with a big family, I love my husbands family!

Time since surgery: 4 yrs + 5 months

B: LonoLife Protein Coffee + vanilla PP used as creamer - wanted to share with you all this coffee I discovered this week. Its a Kcup and has 10 grams of protein already in it. Its a strong black coffee taste, you can't taste the protein in it at all and I use PP as creamer so its a great way to get protein I got this off Amazon, I will for sure buy it again.

Then 24oz of water with one scoop of BCAA tropical fruit

L: chef salad (take out from work)

S: 14 mini carrots (yes I counted them) + 24oz of water with one scoop of BCAA

D: two cabbage rolls

S: activia vanilla yogurt

totals: 880 calories, 77 protein, 61 carbs

V: patches are on

E: 8km run outside and then hike the dogs for 5km in the snow

Have a great day, smile at a stranger just because!

Photo Friday Idea: since we are all suffering from the Winter Blues lets see a pic of your favourtie Summer activity or place you went last summer!

Well after a brief break due to feeing like death, I am back to the menu boards.

I got a nasty stomach bug last week and felt terrible for the rest of the week. I definitely let my fluids slip during that time so it took longer for me to feel better than it probably could have.

Ive seen that coffee advertised! I've thought about it, but I figure I get enough protein in already, so it might just be wasted calories for me? Not sure.

QUOTD: my family is pretty average sized. My immediate family is just the four of us. My mom sister and her kids are also incredibly close to us, but my moms brothers and their kids are not people we see all that often. My dad doesn't have a relationship with a lot of his family.

MENU:

  1. Chicken Bone Broth
  2. Chocolate Chai tea with Premier
  3. Coffee with Premier
  4. Leftover Easter Ham (1 oz) and cottage cheese (I'm bringing back some dairy, I miss it)
  5. Tuna and vegan mayo and red pepper
  6. Vegan yogurt, 1 scoop of vegan protein, cacao powder, pbfit, chia seeds, hemp hearts, blueberries.

Good morning it is cold and windy here as well I could describe it saying something my dad says but some might find offensive. Anyway today another day of work and then I am going to calling hours for my daughters friend she is sad she can't come home to go.

QOTD: My immediate family is small just my parents and a brother but I have lots of extended family. Cousins that I have never met. My husband is an only child but his mom has four siblings and we are very close to there family. It is weird that we live close to a lot of my family and we hardly do anything with them but my husbands family is all over and we talk all time and get together a few times a year. I love being with them.

Food for the day:

B: bacon and cheese stick

L: turkey and cottage cheese

S: celery and dip

D: pork and a veggie

Have a good day everyone be well....

Ohh great find with the coffee! I love strong coffee I will certainly order it.

We are supposed to be nice outside today, and then more snow tomorrow and over the weekend. I'm SO tired of this and just want spring to come! On Faceboo****ep getting reminders that I was planting things this time last year.

Qotd: my family is an enormous Irish tribe! My great grandma (who is 97, still alive and kicking) had 6 kids--my great aunts and uncles and of course my grandpa. Then all of those aunts and uncles got married and had kids, so I have about a billion cousins and we're all close. Every Sunday the whole extended family (whomever is available) gets together for lunch at my great grandmas. I go whenever I'm back in my hometown for a weekend. My dads side of the family is also quite large, but I didn't grow up knowing them, and I'm not close with my dad.

breakfast: scrambled egg and 1 sausage patty

lunch: last of the salsa verde chicken

dinner: either a tuna creations packet, or I might grill some turkey andouille sausages (depending on if DH is home or not)

30 minutes on elliptical

Today I get to start moving out of the soft phase into real food. I'm taking it one new food at a time but I'm excited!

QOTD: I come from a large family. I have about 26 Aunts/Uncles and about 52 first cousins. I do love having a large family and it makes get together very big. I do have a good size group of friends and we always considered each other family.

B: triple zero yogurt

L: chicken salad

D: chili with ground turkey

S: low fat string cheese

E: walking

Good morning Daisy and menu folks! Yesterday was very windy here but it has died down and is sunny today. Saturday we are supposed to get rain and then snow with totals anywhere between 1 and 8 inches! We have big plans for Saturday so I am hoping for NONE!

Daisy, the protein coffee looks great but at $18 for 10 pods, I have to pass. Interesting concept though.

I had a great birthday yesterday. Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes. I bought a cake at the bakery close to my office and shared it with my co-workers. By the time I went to get a bite, it was all gone, so it worked out well in the end. I did well with my food yesterday in spite of my birthday. I might splurge this weekend when we go out to eat though.

I have a question for everyone about multivitamins. My brand has been phased out for some reason and I am trying to find another multivitamin that doesn't have alot of sugar (gummies) and has 100% RDA or more on most vitamins. What do you take? I'm okay with horse pills.

Menu:

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, turkey sausage (small pouch this morning)

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, string cheese

Lunch: fish, broccoli

Snack: turkey breast, apple, almonds

Dinner: chicken & broccoli

Exercise: short walks, maybe deep water aerobics or laps

I take two Centrum (or more often, the generic equivalent at CVS - Walgreens probably has a generic of it, too). One in the morning and the other when I get home from work.

Happy belated birthday! Sucks you didn't get a bite of your own cake! LOL

I can see how you would think that is expensive, but if you break it down $18.99/10 is $1.89 a coffee and that is pretty cheap to me and pretty much the going rate around here for a large cup of coffee and the fact that there is already 10grams of protein in it I love that. I can't get a cup of Starbucks coffee with 10grams of protein for $1.89 so I will stick with this.

I use the PatchMD for my multi vitamin but before I started the patches I used Centrum chewables, I got them at Walmart
