Good morning!

We had crazy storms here to yesterday afternoon. Was under a tornado warning for a bit and possibly a small one touched down about 20ish miles away from me. Luckily it sounds like no one was hurt.

QOTD: id have to agree on the words moist and panties. I don't like saying them. I can't really think of a word I love.

B: eggs scrambled with a bit of cottage cheese

L: yogurt

D: smooth chicken salad

S: string cheese

E: walking

hi all

it also stormed very badly here last night. but guess what, our house did not leak through the new roof OR the foundation!!! its a miracle!!

Went to crossfit as it was my last one of my 30 day groupon. I wish I had used it more but we had vacation 1 week and I was sick another week. now to decide what I want to do longer term. the closest gym doesn't have a pool and I do really like aqua fit classes but it is 10 min further than the other gym in the other direction. either way, i have to continue to work out as it helps me eat better and makes me stronger.

QOTD: hmmm there are some work phases that people here overuse all the time that make me bonkers. things like, I know this, I know that. Why do you need to point out you 'know' things?? or people that interrupt that say, sorry for interrupting to interrupt when someone is speaking.

Food for today:

coffee

hot tea (want to start drinking more of this, I have a TON)

gelatin concoction

shiritaki rice with tuna or chicken and seasonings

not sure on dinner yet or exercise

Hi all,

This evening I am going to have dinner with a good friend who's in town for work. We haven't seen each other for several years even though she only lived a few hours away from my old place, in Redondo Beach. I really look forward to catching up! I checked out the menu of the restaurant we're meeting at. Though I won't have a scale with me to weigh my dinner, there are some good appetizer choices, including steak bites, pan-seared scallops, and a cheese platter. It seems pointless for me to order an entree, as both portion-wise and carb-wise they all seem to be just too much.

I am having kind of an exciting time as I am beginning to fit back into some of my largest old clothes. I wore a size medium sweater on Easter! But it's a pretty large medium. Funny how as I was heading up the scale, I was horrified and embarrassed to hit the weight I'm at now, yet on the way down I just feel comparatively svelte. Everything is relative!

QOTD: I don't really hate any words. I think they're all cool, though some sound funny, like "adnoids" and "crepuscule". Some I am particularly fond of include corruscate, glissando, legerdemain, silken, twilight. And some are amusing for quirky and random reasons, like "struthiform".

First: Big mug of tea with cashew milki

B: Last of the lamb

L: Chicken

D: Probably those steak bites.

Have a happy and productive day!

Good morning! I have my "6 week" checkup today although tomorrow is technically 7 weeks. And I'm down another 2 lbs and as slow as I've been losing this month, I'll take it! I managed to exceed my water goal yesterday and hoping to do it again today. I definitely drink room temp water better than cold, which is a shame since I prefer cold water.

Qotd: I also hate **** and panties! And my dad always says "don't **** your panties!" When he's telling someone to calm down, and it's just a whole world of cringe. I don't get bothered by moist, but a lot of people do and my NUT says it about 17988 times each time I see her and it makes me giggle inside. How many people come out of her office cringing?? One of my favorite words is cacophony because it sounds like it's meaning.

breakfast: decaf coffee with Premier Protein

MS: Greek L&F

lunch: buffalo tuna creations packet

dinner: probably more salsa verde chicken

Good morning. Accountability great. Hitting daily goals so far this week. It's very moist here and it's ******g me off. ;) Sorry couldn't resist. It's 27 and snowy. Yuck

qotd. I love using the word declination in describing off trend declines. It Bothers my boss off though. Maybe that's why I love it. Can I say a term for my hate word - workplace flexibility. I find it an oxymoron. I find it favors my employer more than the employees. Applies to my last three employers. Lots of requests to work late or early or over weekends with promises of flex when I need it. But when you need it, you can see the bosses not happy about it. Like your taking advantage. Even vacation requests get the same look these days.

B out running errands so McDonald's scrambled eggs

S Fage and nuts

L 3 oz Brisket and small salad

S Syntrax

Good morning :)

I am hiding from the weather today. My mom just sent me a photo from their house and they have had two days of snow. We just got rain, wind, and thunderstorms. I got sick last night after eating part of my nighttime snack and woke up at 4am with terrible muscle pain around my abdomen. I'm assuming I strained a couple muscles getting sick. That part can stop anytime now.

QOTD: there are a few words, phrases, or slang terms that I dislike. DH also drives me crazy by pronouncing words incorrectly on purpose. He grew up in a more rural area but he overemphasizes some of the slang. There is a comedy TV show called Letterkenny (set in rural southern Ontario) -- they talk that way and it actually cracks me up when something comes up that DH and his brother say. I love pretty words -- bejewelled, bespoke, ethereal, harmonious, etc.

Post-op three years.

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - apple and pb

Lunch - chicken pad Thai

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - TBD since we are both super tired

Snack - fake cheesecake

All water and vits.
