Hi everyone how are you? Its pouring rain here and we had a wicked thunderstorm over night. I hate rain, especially since its so cold and dark and grey outside. But they do say April showers bring May flowers...
Accountability: had another not so great eating day. I added in Red velvet cake bites on my commute home from work and had pizza for dinner and a couple of handfuls of peanut M&Ms, I need to get a hold of my snacking
QOTD: What's a word you hate and a word you love. I hate the word "Piss." It just sounds so vulgar to me. I love the word "Harbinger." It sounds very mysterious to me.

Morning everyone. Our weather sucks too. It was going back and forth between pouring rain to sleet and hail yesterday. It was a loooong commute home...but then we went out to celebrate and had a lovely night!
QOTD: I hate the word moist (**shudder**) and I love the word perspicacity--it just rolls off the tongue. I also used to try to slip it into college papers because I thought it made me sounds smarter :)

No updates, yet. I am still employed for another month before 7 weeks of severance kicks in, so I am furiously applying and hoping something comes along so that I don't end up on unemployment. Unfortunately, quite a few of us were all laid off at the same time, so I feel like competition is fierce in a small job market!
Morning buddies... weather is supposed to be rotten here today to cold, windy, and rainy. I guess a good day to work or maybe stay home and watch movies.
QOTD: I hate the word queer. I have a co-worker who uses it way to often when things or people are different and it irritates me that she uses it with the under tones she does.
My food for the day:
B: bacon
L: turkey and cottage cheese
S celery and dip
D: taco meat and cheese
Have a good day everyone!!
Good morning menu folks. I am back in the office for my second day. I stayed at wor****il 2:00 yesterday and ended up in alot of pain. Today I plan to go home at noon and then maybe telework a few hours after resting. I hope that will work better. I was in too much pain yesterday to go swimming but maybe I can get there this evening.
Today is my 51st birthday, My health is such a wonderful birthday present. I have accomplished so much in this year and I am really proud. I was looking at my birthday goals from last year and I met or almost met most of them or in some cases exceeded them. I had hoped to lose to about 140 but I am now between 117 and 122 and in a normal BMI. I am walking stairs at work. I had hoped to be able to do all 6 flights without breathing hard, but I am only doing 4 flights regularly. Oh well, a goal in progress. I didn't run a 5K because I haven't been running very much. I do walk 6-8 miles alot and I swim for an hour most days. I am certainly more healthy and strong than I was a year ago.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, turkey sausage
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake
Lunch: fish, broccoli
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple, almonds
Dinner: shrimp, baby carrots
Exercise: short walks, swimming
