Why am I failing at this
I agree with DC girl, add a shake for more protein. I had a shake every day for the first 2 years and worked my way up to 100-ish grams of protein a day. 60 is a minimum. Yes now I have to watch liquid calories and while I occasionally have a shake it is more of a snack.
I lost 11 pounds the first week after surgery and then lost nothing for 3 ½ weeks. Long stalls happen.
Stay the course.

Howdy,
As other posters have said, your protein intake is really low. My doctor recommended 100 per day as a minimum. I hate protein shakes but still try to get one in daily and make it a scoop and a half of ISOPURE banana in the morning that I sip. That gives me an extra 40 grams in addition to the other 60 I still get per day.
Also water consumption is very very important. I am really bad at getting my water in .
Last, You lost a lot of weight pretty quick. You will stall. Everyone does. My stalls last 3-5 weeks even when I am perfectly compliant. Then I want to cry just like you do. It happens every couple months. Now that I am closer to goal, its even slower.
If you stick to plan, it WILL come off.

Just take a step back and breathe. It is very hard in the beginning to not lose your **** over this.
My emotions were all over the place. You can go from being on cloud nine then be right in the gutter at times.
The weight will come off. I remember asking the vets when I had the surgery and I was freaking out that it wasn't working.
Follow what you are supposed to eat and it will all fall into place.
Just want to tell you that you are not alone. I felt the same way in the beginning.
Thank you!!!

I got the where I hated the shakes and could not force myself to drink them. But I did find Genepro unflavored protein powder. It is 30g of protein in 1 Tablespoon and 57 calories. You can mix it with anything and you can't taste it. If I'm short of protein I add some at the end of the day. Really don't get frustrated, it will happen. Just trust that your body will cooperate eventually. I find I don't lose for almost a week and then I drop some weight. But mostly I try not to weigh myself and go by how my clothes are fitting. I've dumped 6 pair of jeans so far since I started because they are too big.
Just keep doing what you're doing and it will happen.
