QOTD: When something like that happens at work I don't overreact but might make some followup questions to make sure I understood what was being said. I'm trying more to do this also in my personal life especially with DH. I'm now very quick to speak and then usually I'm misinterpreting the situation or DH has not been clear in what he is saying so I assume something. Family I try to hold my tongue with as there is just no arguing with them and its pointless. I usually just say agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Did fairly well with food yesterday, trying to recover from the vacation week protein bar madness of 2018. I think i got low on ACTUAL food and that is what was left. and because I was on vacation, I didn't want to overbuy food then throw it away.

House is coming along- cornice should be painted today and the vents are up so no little critters can get inside anymore. The fence is now fixed from the bear and the electric fence will go in the next week once we read the info on how to install it lol. DH has been building the revised chicken coop whi*****ludes a large door lock from outside and inside. they will be having a setup like the last house where they go into a 'safe' room at night and get locked up. DH is going to mimic our house plan for the chicken coop also so it will be really cute. Drywall completion is next!

Plan for today:

gelatin

coffee/creamer protein powder

leftover bbq pork

not sure on dinner yet

exercise- today and tomm are my last crossfit days so I'm thinking of finishing them out. yesterday I ended up breaking down trash for pickup and working in the garage.

Easter was quiet and restful. We had 3 day weekend and enjoyed every minute. I did some cooking to have foods ready for week in freezer. Went to see Pacific Rim and Player One. Enjoyed both with DH & DD. DH watched basketball LOTS.

I was able to stay on track with food as well as fluids and vitamins. I did fit in a dark chocolate nib. Shared with DD. I bought a mini piece at cheese store where I get hand dipped ricotta cheese for recipes. Weather was beautiful! It was cool yesterday and today.

I seldom respond to negative criticism. Many food issues stuffing down emotions with food from hurt fellings especially from family. I know family loves me but often has poor way of showing it. I was neatly 50 before I started standing up to negativity at work place. Due to overbearing coworker. I have to work through emotions before I can even listen to what the person is saying. I say I "marinate" before responding.

Chewing vitamins now. Will do mile walking dog after work

B protein waffle with sf syrup and strawberries

L protein squash casserole and tuna packet

S PP peach shake

D eggface meatloaf with spinach

S protein pumpkin custard sf homemade

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

I spent all day yesterday worrying, praying and waiting to hear about my dear friend, Barb, who had open heart surgery. I live in Nebraska and she lives in Mississippi so it is really hard to be so far away. They took her down for surgery at 9:45 am and by 6:15 pm I still hadn't heard anything from her friend! Turns out they didn't start the surgery until 1 pm and I finally heard she was back in ICU by 6:30 pm. I've tried calling the hospital, but they won't tell me anything over the phone. Barb has no family, only one friend in Mississippi and me. Her friend in MS is going to be out of town all day today, so poor Barb is going to be all alone all day today. I sure wish I was closer. Thank you so much to everyone for your prayers!

Accountability: I was scared, worried Cheesyand a nervous wreck yesterday because of Barb's surgery and I spent the day eating. I ate good things, just way too much of them.

QOTD: I don't handle criticism well... I cry, yes, even at work. However, one time a coworker told my manager that I was late coming in to work and I KNEW I wasn't, so I went to the personnel manager and had her check my time card and confirm my clock-in time. So if I'm falsely accused of something I will stand up for myself.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana

L: cheesy ranch chicken

D: cheesy ranch chicken

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a great day everyone!

This computer is weird! It puts words in strange places. Ignore the word "Cheesy" under Accountability. It is not supposed to be there. Sorry.

Thank you, Liz! I heard from Barb today! She had a quintruple (5 way) bypass! She said they are going to send her to a nursing home in about 5 days to finish recovering. I was so happy to hear from her!

Morning everyone! Guess what? Its our 2 year anniversary!!! If you don't know our story--Grim & I met right here on the RNY Menu thread! We noticed that we lived close to each other so we decided to meet. He hasn't been able to get rid of me, since...poor guy.

Here is a pic of the matching outfits I got us.

We had bacon in bed this morning, because what better way for two bypass buddies to celebrate an anniversary? I found out since making this menu that we are going out for dinner, though, so probably not having ham... :)
