Revision on 03/14/18

Woke up to storms here this morning. What a difference 24 hours make. Yesterday it was cold and a coating of snow, today it's storming and gonna be 70.

On Thursday I get to start adding regular food back in. My surgeon had me skip the purée phase all together this time. He had me go from liquids straight to soft foods and said on the 12th to slowly add food back in.

QOTD: I guess it depends on the situation at work. I usually take criticism as a learning experience. I work from home as a medical coder and mistakes can mean money missed/lost. When it comes to family and friends I tend to hold my ground if I feel I'm right about something.

B: yogurt

L: protein shake

D: scrambled eggs w/ cottage cheese

S: light string cheese

E: walking

I never had a puréed stage :) I went from full liquids to "soft protein" like cottage cheese, tuna and fish, etc, and then adding in other proteins as tolerated. I don't think I could have handled the texture of puréed meats...

It was odd because its the same surgeon group that did my sleeve. Since my revision they have advanced me quicker. I'm not complaining because I'm ready to get out of soft foods.

After my revision, my surgeon allowed me to advance each stage by a few days, but I still needed to do all four in his plan (clear liquid, full liquid, puree and soft) each for a week. i was glad he allowed me to advance early since I was legitimately hungry.

snow is on it's way. WTH? This is April! Usually when it snows in April (which it doesn't very often), it doesn't stick - but not this time. Up to 4" accumulation. UGH. At least it'll most likely be gone in a couple of days, but still, 4"? This is frickin' spring!!!

QOTD: if it's coming from non-family, I take it in silence and then process it later. If it's coming from family, I usually get defensive.

accountability has been OK but not great. Choices have been good, but I've gone over my calorie range too many times this past week.

2 years 9 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 scoop protein powder and fresh berries

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax chocolate latte shake

L: I'm thinking leftover Chinese food (chicken & veggies - no rice)

D: pork chop with Asian-style slaw

if it's not snowing too badly later, I'll hit the gym
