What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?

Woohooo! Happy Tuesday everyone! I had a fabulous long weekend, having four days off is just wonderful. I so need to do this more often. Did you all have good weekends? Was your Easter and start of Passover good? We opted out of Easter this weekend and went to a Jay's baseball game (we won 7-3 against the Yankees, take that NYY!!) and had so much fun.
Accountability: holy crap gang, I was not good this weekend. I ate like I never had WLS. I ate like I was a normie. It was scary the amount of food I shoved in my face this weekend. I am really not happy with myself and quite ashamed. So I am going total CAMAW this week. Enough is enough, the food fest is over.
QOTD: when you receive criticism or negative feedback whether its in your professional life at work or personal life with family or friends how do you react? Do you argue, stay silent, give a rebuttal, swear, shout, or take it as it was attended and accept it and take time to process the comments. At work I tend to stay silent but under my breath I am *****ing the person out and then I will go home and process the comments on my own time. With family or friends I tend to argue until the cows come home if I believe I am "right" and won't let it go.

Happy Tuesday! I'm up early, even though I'm on east coast time, and have even gotten a quick workout in. I bought a deck of bodyweight exercise cards with me so I can mix things up -- it was fun, harder than I thought it would be!
QOTD: At my office we have a saying, "Feedback is a gift. Some gifts you'd like to return." I know that I can get defensive and that I only "hear" the negative feedback so I work really hard to take the input, go away and digest it and then discuss.
Accountability - pretty good -- I even gave away my cookies on the plane, settled for a single serving of fair life skim milk vs one of the not so healthy protein shakes at the airport. I didn't quite hit my fluid goals though -- mostly because I spilled my evening cup of tea all over myself vs drinking it. Fortunately, the little coffee make in the room had only made it lukewarm vs boiling hot, lol. Started my morning with 20 oz water to try to recover today.
There's not a lot of great options on the menu for the work dinner tonight - if I was on full normal foods it would be fine but that's not for a few weeks. My plan is to get my protein in before the dinner and then just go with the easiest most on plan option which looks like soup.

S - coffee with PP

Good morning everyone! We ended up going to see Ready Player One at the movies last night after dinner, and I liked it a lot. Of course, the book is better but as movie adaptations go, it's a good one. If you love 80s pop culture/video games go check it out!
qotd: I'm pretty easy going about criticism depending on who it's from. If it sounds like it's coming from a helpful place or someone I respect, I'll consider it quietly, and if it's neither of those things (helpful or from someone I respect) then I just take it with a grain of salt. I only get upset if it's trash talking disguised a "helpful criticism."
accountability: I got busy at work and forgot to eat lunch, so Protein was a bit lower than planned, but still right at 60g and I drank plenty of water
breakfast: protein shake
lunch: leftover salsa verde chicken
dinner: tuna creations packet
30 mins on the elliptical

I think they definitely watered down some of the plot points and themes, but overall they kept it intact. We're you disappointed in the movie or the fact that your husband didn't like it?

I read the book when it was first out, so I'm starting a re-read today. I might also end up disappointed with the movie once I refresh myself on the details, which has happened to me a few times before. Maybe ignorance is bliss when it comes to movie adaptations.
An example of this is the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. They made a movie that I thought was alright until I re-read the book, then I hated it. Then they did the Shadowhunters TV show and I thought I'd give it another chance, but nope. I hate the show too! It has a huge following though.

I read all the Mortal instruments and Shadowhunter series books... I liked the Mortal Instruments movie and wanted more...! Shadowhunters series is ok... I watch it sometimes but some of the lead actors just dont fit my idea of the book characters...mainly the red head lead girl in Shadowhunter...i always seem to analyze the differences between the books and what they manage to get on the screen! I. Read all of The Game of Throne books..too! (loved that series) I'm definitely a reader!
Good morning! I too ate like a normie for 3 days in a row this weekend, so I started clean eating yesterday. I was almost 2 pounds above my weight range yesterday morning, but am back in range now (barely). It is a bit of a challenge with DD visiting but I am determined to plan properly the rest of the week.
Justice is done with heartworm treatment now btw, and his paperwork for adoption was completed yesterday!
QOTD: I think I accept criticism/negative feedback quietly for the most part when hearing it, but tend to broil inside. I chew on it (process it as you state more eloquently) for a while, then either accept its truth or discuss it with the person who delivered it if I disagree. I can get heated about it if they are adamant and I don't think it is true.
2 Years post-op
