What's on your Easter Sunday Menu RNY'ers?
everyone must be Easter busy! Happy Resurrection day! I've been in my run, and have a baked French toast casserole in the oven for breakfast. I'll try it but the recipes is basically, sugar, carbs, spices and eggs. Not WLS friendly at all.
No plans today- not even church. It was amazing how crowded the streets were around some churches around here- normally it's a ghost town Sunday morning. Qotd: what faith are you? Are you active in you faith? Nonbelievers are welcome to answer- just curious about who we are spiritually!
me- I'm Christian, baptized apostolic. They are a little old fashioned for my tastes (ie- women should wear shirts, head coverings). I do not attend church, but am currently leading hubby's church marriage ministry.
209.5 today 2.11 years out
m1- baked French toast casserole and bun and cheese
m2- tuna/chicken salad

Mornin'!
Woke up with yet another headache. Not bad - just pesky. I thought I'd left these behind when I lost all that weight (because I rarely had them for months and months after WLS), but now, they're back. Ugh. Usually I just ignore them and they go away on their own after an hour or two, but not this morning. So I just popped some Tylenol (and yes, I told my PCP about them. She thinks they're caffeine or weather-related, but who knows...)
Not much on the agenda today other than meditation class at 10:30 and yoga at 5:30 (no Aqua Zumba today - the gym is closed for Easter)
QOTD: I grew up in the Episcopal Church and was pretty active in it as a youth, but I quit going when I was in college and never went back (other than to weddings or funerals). I'm not very religious. I went to a Unitarian Church off and on for a couple of years as an adult because I wanted to be part of a church home again but didn't want to deal with the heavy religious aspect, but I don't that anymore, either - although I've thought of going back. I do miss the community and fellowship of a church.
2 years 9 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax latte shake
L: I'm thinking meatballs and a cheese stick or two
AS: F&L yogurt or a piece of protein pumpkin pie
D: I've got to eat the freakin' pork chop! I've been saying this for days and it's still in the fridge! Will make some Asian-style slaw to go with it
ex: yoga
Morning! Happy Easter friends... Quiet day in our house we did Easter yesterday with the nieces they are going to my sister in laws family today so we are just going out to dinner with my dad and Grandmother. Honestly it is fine with me. I have been up since 4am and can you guess what I have been doing yup drinking coffee and doing work work... Awe the fun never ends..
QOTD: We are not a religious household. I was baptized Episcopalian and honestly I go to church every other year on Christmas for midnight mass and only because my Aunt and I take turns going with my Grandmother. My dad used to be in that rotation until he fell asleep and my Grandmother told him he could not go anymore. Wonder if he was onto something....
In all honesty I have no plans for food today. I know we are going out for lunch so I will have a yogurt for breakfast and leftovers for dinner. I mainly wanted to jump on and wish you all a wonderful day.
So wonderful day all.....
Good morning and happy Easter! DH and I are in Kansas City, MO for a Royals-White Sox game last night. We drove down early and spent the day thrifting, and found some awesome KC Royals shirts that we sported to the game (pics below). Jeremy is a big video gamer so the 8-bit Bo Jackson shirt was perfect, and I was raised on hair bands, and thought the Kiss one was great, though completely random. It was only 42 degrees last night so we ended up buying a ridiculous amount of Royals memorabilia simply because we were cold. A fleece throw blanket, gloves, and a ridiculous mascot hat. I wanted it for the ear flaps!
For dinner we stopped at a BBQ food truck near our hotel and brought it back to the room. We shared a meal of smoked turkey, beef brisket, and a side of BbQ baked beans. We each only had a bite of the beans, and the brisket was dry, unfortunately. But the turkey!! It was the stuff of dreams. Super juicy, and great Smokey taste. We are going to see if they are open today (not likely given the holiday) and see if we can get some turkey to take home for the week.
QOTD: I was raised catholic, and while I'm no longer practicing, I still respect the traditions and find it an interesting religion historically, even if I no longer believe the teachings. I love learning about everyone's faith and world religions, and I've just found so mu*****ommon with so many of them that it's hard for me to just claim one or any. I guess I'm more agnostic.
Breakfast: eggs and ham at the hotel.
Lunch: we'll be on the road back home so probably a protein shake in the car
dinner: unsure. I feel weird not having Easter dinner with my family, but it was just too much driving to get from KC to my hometown just for one meal. We might just have a clean out the fridge dinner, as there are Mediterranean chicken skewers and deli turkey that need to be eaten or tossed soon
I know this post is enormous! But here are some pics from yesterday :)

Good morning weight loss peeps. It's so chilly and windy in Toronto ugh. I want to do a 5K today but I hate running in the wind. I have a bit of a busy day. Celebrating Easter, cooking a leg of lamb and a small turkey.
QOTD I'm Catholic and practice. I to love learning about other religions, I find it so interesting.
